• Glenn Beck: "Palin Belongs in the kitchen"

[release]While joking around on his radio show Wednesday, Fox News personality Glenn Beck addressed the idea that he and Sarah Palin should run for president together in 2012. Beck apparently likes the idea of a Beck-Palin ticket, but a Palin-Beck ticket? Not so much. "I was just thinking, what, I'm going to take a back seat to a chick?" Beck quipped, to laughter from the studio. "Go shoot a bear, make some stew, I'm hungry in here." In an interview with Newsmax last week, Palin "wouldn't rule out" running with the controversial talk show host in 2012. "So while she's considering it ... I just want her to know, I'm ruling it out. A Palin-Beck ticket, I'm absolutely ruling it out," Beck said. "I’m just saying, Beck-Palin, I’ll consider. But Palin-Beck -- can you imagine what an administration with the two of us would be like? She'd be yapping or something, I'd say, 'I'm sorry, why am I hearing your voice? I'm not in the kitchen.' I mean, you'd have to live up to the evil conservative stereotypes, you'd have no choice but to do so."
"A woman’s appropriate place on a presidential ticket, according to Beck, is in the number two spot," writes Alex Seitz-Wald at ThinkProgress. "Otherwise, she should just 'yap' away in a kitchen somewhere. Apparently, being a vice presidential running mate behind a woman is a serious challenge to Beck’s manhood." "Palin has a hair-trigger reaction to sexist slights ... so I would predict a wingnut feud," writes Azaria Jagger at Gawker. "But in this case, Lady Alaska's martyr complex is going to conflict with her effusive love of right-wing media. Also, Beck's producers will likely pressure him to make nice. She's way too valuable to them." But, hey, it's all a joke, right? "Yeah, Glenn, it's a 'joke.' We get it," writes bluegal at the Crooks and Liars blog. "We get that you're a former shock jock, that you don't actually believe a single word you say, and that you will say anything for money. We get that the vice-presidency is even further out of your league than it is for Palin, and that's saying a lot. "We also get that you're an infantile jerk."
[/release] I'm somewhere between surprised and not surprised.
Oh Glenn Beck you are so hilarious pause not
I don't know what to think about this. :/
It would be funnier if it wasn't coming from Glenn Beck.
Not gonna win anyways
Glen Beck is just an all around troll much like Kim Jong Il or Westboro Baptist. So I find it funny.
Glen will probably be crying about how people are losing faith and that people are still picking on palin.
Lawl.
Glenn is IRL troll.
It's so much easier trolling IRL than on the internet [editline]08:58PM[/editline] Only thing is its not nearly as fun IRL because you actually know those people
Palin would probably make a better president than obama
Prosauce.
"We also get that you're an infantile jerk."
eyc bern
Somebody ban him already. Goddamn trolls.
Palin would probably make a better president than nobama
Nobody would be a better president than Plain. I mean it. We'd actually be better off with just nobody as president.
the sad thing is that he would have a chance
Hm. Why am I not surprised he would say something that retarded? :foxnews: On a unrelated note, a possible Palin-Beck/Beck-Palin presidency? Good God. If those fools get elected, the shit they would be doing would make Bush's work look trivial and harmless. O_O I'm scared now :ohdear:
Palin would probably make a better president than obama
What the fuck are you on?
As Crazy as Beck is, he's right. Palin is the stereotypical Politician though, regular politicians tend to hide their idiocy to some degree, but Palin's basically flashing it
President Glen Beck = :suicide:
And here comes the legal threats and firing!
And here comes the legal threats and firing!
If we're lucky. Maybe the comment was something akin to a ban-me.
I agree with the heading, not with the idiot himself. Another intelligent woman for president? Hell, she'd have my vote. But Sarah Palin truly does belong in the damn kitchen. In the kitchen, the most harm she can do is burn the house down. Think about it.

He was joking.

Finally Beck says something we can all agree on.
Glen Beck is a evangelist fucktard, as much as I hate Palin, I hate you more.

You know, the mentally unstable kind of right. The kind of right that leads to drug and alcohol addiction. OH WAIT!
