The Residents lost CD ROM game
Something about this type of 'artstyle' really rubs me the wrong way. Was the reason 5 nights at freddies was so effective I think.

I've actually heard of this game before, I was going to record some footage since there's barely any documentation even for a game this weird, but I couldn't get it working right. Looks like I wasn't alone on that one. Anyway, this game was developed by Israeli based company, of all things, so I imagine a lot of the jokes in this game was hidden beneath layers of language barriers. Another fun fact about this games development is that the company that developed the game apparently filed for bankruptcy in the same year the game got released. :v:

Looking at this game makes me physically ill. 90's surrealist CGI will always be the most terrifying fucking art style to me, and I'm surprised more modern games haven't tried to emulate it (with one aforementioned notable exception of course)

It's actually astounding how a single game can be such a monumental failure of game design.
