for the past 3 weeks, i have been waking up 5 minuts before my alarm. everyday, even when my alarm wasnt set. i tried to trick my brain by setting my clock back 30 minutes, but the same thing. woke up 5 minutes before my alarm.
i find it strange. i can also set a random time on the microwave, walk out of the room and watch TV or something without a clock. then walk back into the kitchen when i get a gut feeling, and then the microwave will go *beep beep beep* "your meal is ready!"
can anyone explain this?
You my friend, are an android, build by the government. Alternatively, you could be a mentat, who uses his great mental powers, to outmatch the computers of old.
Or you just got used to the time periods taken by sleep and the microwave. This one is more likely.
its strange. i get perfect timing. all the time. no matter what. its like my brain is counting the seconds without me.
What the fuck. I have had 4 conversations with friends in the past 2 days about the same thing.
Coincidences are weird.
It's that osama obama muslim in office, w'yall ouaghta go up there and teach him the true meaning of America, ya hear?
You're used to it thats why
Yeah same here, I've been waking up at 5:20AM everyday when my alarm starts screaming at 5:30AM.
I'm never supposed to wake up so early but I have to take my mother every morning to a work release program for the next 3 weeks cause she got a DUI and can't get her license back till shes finished with it.
I'm somewhat similar, if i set my alrarm, I'll always jolt awake five minutes before it goes off, if i don't set my alarm however, i sleep in.
Don't set your alarm at all, you may never wake up.
What a coincidence, I wake up 5 minutes(approximately) after my alarm.
Either something wrong or the body is like "yo mothafucka you slept enough get yo ass up".
Every living organic matter have different kinds of "genetic clock", which regulates our schedules such as when to naturally wake up, and when you feel tired and go to sleep. All I can say is that you have perfectly calibrated your clock to the right time.
:science:ish style explanation:
As you know, the brain understands time and what you're thinking,
And so the brain sets an automatic clock in your head to wake up 5 mins before the alarm,
So whatever time you set the clock, your brain will understand it and it will still wake you up so you wouldn't forget to turn off the alarm,
It's science, you ignorants
yeah I get this too, except when I stay up really late the night before
Your microwave talks!?
internal clock i suppose. everyone has one, i usually wake up before my alarm, but that's when it has been set the same for the last few weeks. maybe you just have a more tuned clock.
I always wake up a minute before. I have an alarm set for 5am and 7:30am, and I can never remember the 5am one going off, but I'm positive it does.

okay and so when when he sets it 30 minutes earlier...
I get the same thing. When I do that, I just lay there until the alarm goes off.
And then the rest of the day I'm trapped in :( mode.
This is happening to me too sometimes.
I get the same thing. On the days I gotta go to college, I set my alarm for 6 (I like to squeeze in as much time as possible beforehand), and end up waking up 5:55. It's creepy, yet strangely normal.

I go to sleep and set my alarm at different times everyday.
Sorry to piss on your bonfire.

Fix'd for my ignorance

It has to do with the subconscious, really.
It's the body's natural way of getting into a rhythm.
i wish i could do that but my sleep schedule varies too much
Your microwave says your meal is ready? :aaaaa:
When I was younger I had a Garfield alarm clock.
The alarm was sung by Garfield in a horrifying creepy MEOW MEOW
After a few days I started waking up like 10 minutes before the clock went off I was so terrified of it. Not to even mention how incredibly loud it was - probably broke a few laws of public order
Still have it in my drawer but there's no way in hell i'm putting batteries in that thing.
Happens to me ALL the time.
Biological clock.
It's your circadian rhythm.
I do that with my cellphone, I text someone, and then when I pick up the phone again, I receive the answer.
