I'm surprised to here Jon thinks Episode 1 is the better Star Wars prequel. That was a really interesting way to think about it
This is probably the most human I see Jon in a video. I haven't seen a lot of him during Game Grumps, but it feels so relatible here with what he says and how he introduces it. It's probably because he doesn't know James as much as he knows Arin, but it still shows us a side of Jon that we usually don't see.
I wish I had a collection like this.
I had a vintage Nintendo Power trapper keeper but I gave to somebody on facepunch
I liked how they wrapped it up. "Art from adversity."

Jon did this a lot in Game Grumps, but part of the problem there was that he was trying to be entertaining and play the game at the same time, same with Arin. Believe it or not, trying to do good commentary while playing games is really hard to do IMO. I'm actually impressed that Game Grumps puts out as many episodes as it does even if not all of them are A+ material. In this, the discussion has his full attention.
I'm really glad he was honest and went against popular opinion and even called out James on his original Star Trek collection. :v:
at 13:22 he says he watched the original star warses.
Is that a common problem with people to do that? Other people have noticed that he says serises as well.
jon and james for new game grumps

I think he probably just said "Star Warses", because he was trying to find a good word for what he wants to talk about. While at the same time not pausing or trying not to slow down the pace of the conversation him and James is having. This happens to me sometimes and my friends are sort of used to it now since they can understand what I meant.

I actually legit would wanna see them join up for a lets play.
So is this just his house or does he actually own a video store with all that vintage stuff?
Aww come on Jon, Twister and the '98 Godzilla were awesome.

i just wish that this was longer, i could listen to this for hours
I'm so close to these people but I know I can't just barge in and meet them and that crushes me
I kind of regret watching this now. It's kinda sad knowing that he doesn't really have that much passion for video games. I don't think i'll be able to look at his Jontron videos the same way anymore.
Wish I could agree with Jon about Episode 1, but that movie is so fucking bad in such a fundamental level that just trying to explain it is headache inducing.
I'm so thankful for Plinkett's review because he was able to explain with such clarity how we all felt about the movie, but couldn't articulate.

Just because somebody likes something more doesn't mean that he likes something less.
For example, just because I like apples more does not mean that I hold an indifferent or dismissive attitude towards oranges.

I want the wood panels in my basement.

The impression I got was that he had a passion for video games, just not a passion for making video games.

Yeah, that's what I heard. Not everyone has what it takes to make a game, especially since larger games are normally collaborative projects where people focus on a specific area to get shit done. Some people are better at textures, some know how to make a great model, other folks are a whiz with the code, all the artists and technicians work in their areas of expertise to get the project into a functional believable state in the space of 2 or 3 years.

its certainly the most memorable.
James' kid is going to have a great childhood.
Damn, this makes me wish JonTron could do more episodes with movies rather than games. Memories of his Food Fight video are flooding back to me as I type this.
