Like a horrible nightmare come true. The interview has also revealed a couple of concept work for the next movie. “Between his producing duties and directorial work, Bay usually has a half-dozen projects going at once. Right now, in addition to 13 Hours, he’s doing post-production on the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which he’s producing and which is due in 2016, and pre-production for the next Transformers, which he’s directing for summer 2017. “I’m doing Transformers … 5, is it?” Bay says, temporarily losing track. He shakes his head. “I’ve taken on a lot of work.” “The movie industry has really changed,” Bay says, apropos of nothing. “The middle-[budget] movie is basically gone. They just want these big movies.” (The irony of this statement goes unremarked-upon.) “Transformers, I still have a great time. It’s fun to do a movie that 100 million people will see. But this is the last one. I have to pass the reins to someone else.” I remind Bay that he said the same thing before each of the last two Transformers movies. “I know,” he says. “J.J. [Abrams] told me, ‘You’re the only guy that could do this.’ But it’s time to move on. One more.” Check out the new info, after the jump. Spoiler Warning: Fans who are sensitive to even minor spoilers are warned. “I like to get up close,” he says, inching toward the monitor. The ILM guys appear onscreen. “Hey, Michael?” one says into the camera. “Are you crawling around on the floor?” Finally, there’s Transformers. They show Bay an underwater rendering of a crash-landed alien spaceship, then a new dump-truck Transformer with a cloak. Neither are up to snuff. “Boy, I’ve got a lot of work to do,” Bay says, shaking his head. “I better finish this fucking 13 Hours movie.” He thanks ILM and kills the video link, then turns to me. “It’s not good when I’m not involved.” “
My advice for those not a total fan of the Transformers films: Read more comic books. IDW Transformers has shown the best of the franchise than Bay ever could, it's even won awards: http://comicsalliance.com/comics-alliance-best-of-2015-continued-excellence-in-serial-comics/ Comics Alliance Best of 2015: Continued Excellence In Serial Comics [t]http://www.previewsworld.com/catalogimages/STK_IMAGES/STK520001-540000/STK528391.jpg[/t]
This comic series is written by none other than James Roberts who also was nominated and won the Comic Alliance “Outstanding Writers of 2015” award! Ok guys, good. Now all we have to do is all collectively talk about how stupid these movies are, and then have every single person go and see it anyway. That last part is crucial.
I have never sat through an entire Transformers movie and I have no idea where the hype comes from.
12 year olds who like fireballs? I believe that is his core audiance Also Chinese censors who love the brand placements
“J.J. [Abrams] told me, ‘You’re the only guy that could do this.’ But it’s time to move on. One more.”
Damn it JJ, you already proved this kinda thing wrong with TFA
Ah come on really?! Like, nobody liked the 4th one. uuuuugh. Can he not find any other work?
how?! there running out of room to talk about the 4th one was . . . . . odd
they're stupid movies but I think it's fun to watch nonetheless
i watched the first one, thought it was boring, so i haven't bothered watching any others since (i started watching the second but it was boring so i didnt finish it)

Not that he's bad, it's that no one bothers digging through the roster for new characters and villains. They don't even bother making Starscream the leader in the other films. Hell, HE could have been a villain, and he's a joke. [T]http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/6/62/Straxus.jpg[/T] They're just rehashing the same plots on what could easily be a TV series. They could have taken the Walking Dead route and make a series out of the comics, but noooo...TF4 made billions, so let's keep doing that. Hell, J.J. Abrams could have made a better Transformers trilogy.
they're stupid movies but I think it's fun to watch nonetheless
I don't watch them becuase their good, I watch them to see giant animated robots blow each other to bits and make loud WERRRRRCHCHCHC noises

You have to sit through bunch of boring as fuck scenes with people you don't give two shits about. When you eventually get to the robot smashdown, their CGI models are so overly detailed and the camera moves so fast + motion blur is all over the place. That you don't fucking see anything.

Mike Bay is a p. shit director anyways so I'll not watch it and then that'll be the end of it for me
The only way I could give a shit is if it's a beast wars reboot.
Pain & Gain was really the only good Bay film I can recall tbh.

my dad went with my stepmum to see both transformers 3 and 4 and both times he's said he slept through the entire second half
So, who's going to count the amount of explosions in the film?
please no
So, who's going to count the amount of explosions in the film?
I'm certainly not. Bay will always top himself with explosions. According to minor details, he's trying to make water explode! I gave up thinking that no Megan Fox and adding Mark Wahlberg in TF4 would make it all better. It didn't, so I'm gonna watch TF5 snippets on YouTube. I bet removing the head writer from TF3 and 4 won't make it better either.
