First, a disclaimer: It is important to note that Al-Arabiya, although it is privately owned, has been criticized for being too "pro-Saudi". Al-Arabiya is the second most watched Arab news network, and is comparable to Al-Jazzera in terms of credibility. Similar to how Al-Jazzera was founded by members of the Qatar royal family, Al-Arabiya was founded by members of the Saudi royal family. As you may know, Saudi Arabia supports the Syrian opposition.
Al-Arabiya claims to have obtained hundreds of classified Syrian security documents with the assistance of opposition activists. They claim that the documents have been "verified and authenticated". They have provided copies of the leaked documents.
Here are the leaked documents:
This document supposedly discusses a Syrian plot to eliminate opponents of the Syrian regime in the neighboring country of Lebanon.
[t]http://images.alarabiya.net/%D9%84%D8%A8%D9%86%D8%A7%D9%86_18299_1581.jpg[/t]
From: Major General Bassam Merhej, Director of the Presidential Security Office
To: Brigadier General Hassan Abdel Rahman, Chief of the Syrian Special Operations Unit in Foreign Intelligence
Al-Arabiya claims :
Merhej orders Abdel Rahman to meet with “friends” in Lebanon but without informing them “in any way” of the details of the operation.
The General also requests sending a high-level commander to Lebanon in order to supervise the mission.
In the same document, Merhej gave two orders to kill:
First, “discreetly” eliminating all personalities named on a separate list provided by the ‘monitoring division’ (the list wasn’t attached to the document).
Second, he requests Abdel Rahman to eliminate “figures renowned for their religious-sectarian affiliations;” stating that the goal is to “create turmoil in Lebanon that would be impossible to calm down.”

This document allegedly discusses a secret mission in Lebanon called "8/23"

From: Brigadier General Hassan Abdel Rahman, Chief of the Syrian Special Operations Unit in Foreign Intelligence
To: Brigadier Chawki Makhlouf
Al-Arabyia claims:
In a second leaked top secret document obtained by Al Arabiya, Hassan Abdel Rahman sends a written order to Brigadier Chawki Makhlouf, for the latter to go to Lebanon and to accomplish a mission he referred to as “8/23.”
Abdel Rahman’s file was sent on May 12. A week later, Sheikh Abdel Wahed was killed.
This document supposedly serves as evidence that a Russian General was an advisor to Syria
[t]http://images.alarabiya.net/149_18316_1936.jpg[/t]
From: Major General Vladimir Kojève
To: Army Chief of Staff Fahad Jassim al-Frei
Al-Arabiya claims that the FSA killed the general in an ambush on his car and a briefcase was siezed from the general.
Al-Arabiya writes:
One of the documents found inside the briefcase was an ID card with Kojève’s name and birth-date (1956). The ID card, which was issued by the Syrian authorities on June 26, 2007, gave him full access to all Syrian security institutions.
Another document that was found in the briefcase included Kojève’s request for approval to go on vacation to Moscow for a period between Dec. 10, 2011 and Jan. 14, 2012. Kojève indicated that his request was in “accordance with the terms of the contract special to Russian military advisors in Syria.”
The documents leaked to Al Arabiya also included a picture of Kojève's Mazda Zoom car with tinted glasses; along with a special permission from the interior ministry permission for him to tint his car for ‘safety reasons’.
Kojève car was ambushed in the Damascus suburb of al-Ghouta and he was killed with three of his companions according to opposition sources.
Following the ambush Syrian air force helicopters raided the area and clashed with the opposition Ousama Ib Zeid opposition Brigade. During the clashes, regime forces were able to recover the body of Kojève. A video provided to Al Arabiya showed the bodies of what the opposition said were Kojève’s aides.
In Aug. 8, the Russian embassy in Syria denied reports that any of its military officials were killed in Syria. In Moscow, a man named Vladimir Kojève denied , in statements to Russian News Agency (Interfax) reports that he was killed by the Free Syrian Army.
A Russian military source said Gen. Kojève used to work as counselor for the Syrian Defense Ministry before he retired. “I want to confirm that I am well and I live in Moscow. Everything is fine. These lies are horrible and as a General I think these rumors do not target me as a person but my country as well.”

This document allegedly provides evidence that the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was working inside Syria.

From: Qasem Soleimani
To: President Assad
Al-Arabiya claims:
In a highly-classified -- but undated -- document sent from Iran, Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force, a division of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), addressed President Assad directly, affirming that the chemical warheads are ready to be relocated.
This was in contrary to previous statements by Iran that it would not support any country with plans to use the chemicals.

This document supposedly discusses the detection of an "error", and orders to prevent the error from occurring again.
[t]http://images.alarabiya.net/%D8%AE%D8%B1%D9%82-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%A8%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%AA-%D8%A7%D9%84_18336_8225.jpg[/t]
Al-Arabiya claims:
In another leaked document, also obtained by Al Arabiya; an order sent from the Syrian Presidential Palace and signed by the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service; Maj. Gen. Bassam Marhej discusses the detection of an “administrative error.”
The error, which apparently is a leak of secret documents, was discovered by the Joint Command (Syria-Iran-Russia) in cooperation with the Syrian embassy in Moscow.
The supposed “error” was likely related to information about Syria’s chemical weapons stockpiles.
According to Marhej -- and following the discovery of the “error” -- Syrian President Assad issued orders prohibiting writing reference numbers and/or dates on secret official documents.
He also ordered that all top-secret (written) instructions to be delivered ‘by hand’ and to be ‘burnt’ following receipt along with all telegram and written communication in all embassies and diplomatic missions.

This document supposedly states the arrival of 250 Hezbollah fighters in Aleppo, Syria.
[t]http://images.alarabiya.net/leaks_1_18362_6299.jpg[/t]
From: Col. Saqr Mannoun, Head of Branch 291 of the Air Force Intelligence
To: President Bashar al-Assad
Al-Arabiya writes:
A document that was sent on May 23, 2011 from Col. Saqr Mannoun, head of Branch 291 of the Air Force Intelligence to President Bashar al-Assad stated, “The first batch of support personnel from Hezbollah, numbered 250, were received and housed in Ramsis hotel in Baroun Street in the province of Aleppo; waiting for my sir’s orders.”
Aleppo was calm and heavily secured under Assad’s iron grips in the early months of the uprising, and it made sense for the regime to receive foreign backers there.
This document is allegedly an Operational Order to eliminate activists in provinces throughout Syria.
[t]http://images.alarabiya.net/11_18384_6540.jpg[/t]
Al-Arabiya claims:
One file titled “Operational Order” was sent by the operations branch of the Syrian foreign intelligence to agent Samir Haddad to “eliminate” activists in various provinces.
Intelligence agents are often identified in documents by designated codes instead of names, and the fact that the agent’s name was mentioned in the file could explain why it was labeled “top secret.”
The document was dated July 29, 2011 and is believed to have played a role in the several assassinations against top activists who were behind the outbreak of last year’s uprising.
This document is supposedly operational orders to go to the city of Duma and eliminate activists there.
[t]http://images.alarabiya.net/22_18385_5035.jpg[/t]
Al-Arabiya claims:
Another “top secret” document dated Aug. 5, 2011 and titled “operational order” was sent to Lt. Col. Mohammed Bilal from the Syrian foreign intelligence service to go to the city of Duma on the outskirts of Damascus to “eliminate” activists there.
This document allegedly is operational orders for the killing of a pro-regime Mufti's son.
[t]http://images.alarabiya.net/33_18386_8392.jpg[/t]
Al-Arabiya claims:
A third “operational order” -- signed by head of branch 291 of the air intelligence, special missions section, Brigadier Saqr Mannon -- was sent to Lt. Col. Suhail Hassan asking him to go “immediately and secretly to the northern region,” which includes Aleppo, to murder Saria Hassoun, son of Syria’s Grand Mufti, Shiekh Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun.
The order was signed on Sept. 28, 2011, and Hassoun was shot dead near Ibla University on the Idleb-Aleppo highway. Hassnoun was shot with two bullets, one to his chest and another to his stomach. He was taken to Idleb National Hospital and he died there.
The Syrian authorities immediately blamed “armed gangs” for the murder of Hassoun, whose father, the country’s grand mufti, was known for his pro-regime stances. By Killing Hassoun and blaming the opposition, the regime was apparently seeking to attract people’s sympathy and support and turn them against those who seek its ouster.
This document allegedly discusses operations against Jordanians who help fleeing Syrians or the FSA.

Al-Arabiya writes:
In the document, obtained by Al Arabiya, Shaleesh orders providing support to the Jordanian peaceful protesters through money and weapons for the purpose of escalating the chaos in Jordan if needed.
He also gave his orders for the setting up of an “operations bureau” affiliated to the Foreign Intelligence Department, to be responsible for carrying out operations against Jordanians who provide help to the fleeing Syrians.

Al-Arabiya writes:
Prominent Syrian Kurdish politician and activist Mashaal Tammo was murdered on Oct. 7, 2011 with direct orders from President Bashar al-Assad, leaked files aired by Al Arabiya on Wednesday revealed.
Four gunmen broke into the home of Tammo, a vocal critic of President Assad, in the eastern city of Qamishli, killing him and wounding his son Marcel and a fellow activist in the liberal Kurdish Future Movement Party, which Tammou had founded in 2005.
A leaked file with the subject line “operational order” signed on Oct. 3, 2011 was issued by Col. Saqr Mannoun, upon a request from the presidential palace, and was sent to Col. Jawdat Hasan, of the air force intelligence division. Col. Hasan was ordered to travel immediately to the province of Hasaka, execute Tammo and then return back immediately.
Tammo was a member of the opposition Syrian National Council (SNC) and had been released recently after spending three and a half years in prison.
Information was received about the whereabouts of Kurdish activist Mashaal Temmo, who is considered a source of concern for the Turkish government. That day, information received indicated the presence of Temmo, his son Marcel, and Kurdish activist Zahida Rashkilio at an anti-Assad meeting. Following a direct order from Brigadier Jamil Hassan, head of the Air Force Intelligence Service, the house where the meeting was taking place in al-Qamishli was stormed and all that were present were eliminated,” the document stated.
The file reveals clues of why Tammo was targeted. The document pointed to “an operation that will put the Turkish leadership in a neutral and cooperative position with regards to the crisis in Syria.”

Al-Arabiya claims:
One classified document, dated April 18, 2012, and entitled “Using the Red Cross vehicles by the regime in military operation”, which is a military mission assigned by the head of the Air Force Intelligence Saqr Manoun to a lieutenant in his department called Ali Haidar. The mission is for Haidar to head to Duma in Damascus suburbs to carry out order number 4/3255, which, according to the Syrian opposition, is an order to kill activists and could also be an order for committing massacres against civilians. This document allegedly discusses the use of secret prisons to detain activists.

Al-Arabiya writes:
One more document, dated May 8, 2011, shows an order given to a lieutenant in the Syrian Military Intelligence Agency to head to al-Damir airport in Damascus suburbs in an urgent mission, to move the prisoners in the second secret prison to other places. According to the Syrian opposition, thousands of Syrian activists are being detained in al-Damir airport, where hundreds of executions are also carried out on a daily basis.
Scanned actually, that's how they got digital copies.
I wonder why Syrian officials wrote "AL ARABIYA EXCLUSIVE" all over their documents.
That's pretty lame, using Red Cross vehicles to transport illegal stuff.

Al Arabiya is a owned by the royal family of Saudi Arabia. And why would they leak to Al Arabiya of all news agencies. These are the same people who said the Turkey pilots were killed on Russian orders.
