You're looking at each piece individually, and not the figure as a whole.
I think you should start with lines & dots to point out joints

I did
Well thanks for the C&C though. I'll probably do better next time.
I'm no expert, but I'd say his lower chest is too wide, his thighs are too wide, and his feet are too wide. Pretty good, though.
Work on your chicken scratch lines, try to draw longer and smoother lines instead of petting the line. It seems like he has no hips and the knees are weird. The neck should be wider. All in all it's not very bad.
Thanks for the feedback
I think you've nailed the proportions.

Thanks =)
Drawing porn will help you improve, but only if you post it on FP

You just want to watch the porn.

Avatar fits.
On topic: It looks too scratchy. Try to make it more smooth.
The proportions are pretty good.
I didn't learn to draw the human form with sticks and dots. I did it with circles, curves, and ellipses. I would sketch that out lightly and then go over darker to put in the final form and clothes and whatnot.
head seems a little too big, as well as the neck. And the waist and lower torso do seem a bit too big. With mot men the shoulders are much wider than their waist, being the widest part on them (even fat guys, unless you count stomach, outward).
His right (our left) leg seems bigger than the other one.
And the feet are backward and oddly posed.
Some general advice; make longer, more confident strokes. Start making more loose but dynamic lines, think of the body as a series of straight and curved lines. There are many good video tutorials on the matter.
start with something simple first like your hands and feet. Draw the perfect looking hands.
Okay your basic proportions aren't too bad, as an overall. Arms a bit too long, in that neutral pose, the finger tips would reach just above the mid section of the thighs. You don't have a balanced head on a neck, it doesn't seem to be connecting properly at all. And try not to just draw half of the body and mirror it to the other side, it really reduces the quality of looking at it.
Work on your line work a lot, short choppy lines is not highly looked upon in the industry of art.
My suggestion to improving yourself in the human form would be studying parts individual, and figuring out their shapes exactly. Especially the parts were joints are connecting different ligaments (the nees need a lot of work, use a reference picture to see how nees would lock the thighs and the calves together.)
Your hip isn't a hip box, think of your hip as a box where two legs sprout out of the sides tapering into the nees. Hips usually are wider at the top sides, then indent inwards, then back out to where the legs start, depending on how much body fat a person has, the part where the leg starts could be bigger than the top part of the hips. Skinnier -> bottom part of hips are smaller than the top part of the hips. But this doesn't apply to everyone, some people just have wider bone structure in their hips than others.
As for your calves, the outer calf doesn't pop out as much as that, in fact there is less meat on the front(outer) part of the leg than there is on the back(inner in this picture)..
Your feet also seem a bit backwards, in feet, there's normally a bone right behind the big toe, that protrudes it outward of the foot, this is on the inner side of the foot. You seem to have a similar bump, but on the outter part of your feet.
Hope this helps :)
