What happened to his George Liquor series? I know it got funded.
Jesus christ how disgusting
How utterly Ren & Stimpy. And so accurate.
How utterly Ren & Stimpy. And so accurate.
same guy
Kricfalusi's animation has gotten technically sloppy, which is odd considering that this is the same guy that basically preaches the virtues of the 9 old men, who almost always stayed on character model.

Was he just lazy for this, or are there other works by him that show a decline?

he also made this opening for the Simpsons a couple years back if you want some more recent work
he also made this opening for the Simpsons a couple years back if you want some more recent work
was the only mirror for that video on facebook with arabic subtitles or what

also this animation was pretty awful. it looks "gross" like ren and stimpy, but doesn't look as hand drawn and fluid it's like babby's first ren and stimpy wannabe animation
also this animation was pretty awful. it looks "gross" like ren and stimpy, but doesn't look as hand drawn and fluid it's like babby's first ren and stimpy wannabe animation
Then again his studio was shut down a while ago, and this is an Adult Swim Bumper. Fluid well done animation for some folks is funded by cash. Not enough cash, can't do awesome quality.
Then again his studio was shut down a while ago, and this is an Adult Swim Bumper. Fluid well done animation for some folks is funded by cash. http://www.metatube.com/en/videos/77449/The-Simpsons-Intro-By-Ren-Stimpy-s-Creator/ I'm not a fan of Kricfalusi's tailspin approach to basically de-learn everything you've learned on animating; it just comes off as incredibly crude.
Yeah John K. is still knowledgeable about golden age cartoon techniques and such but he has really degenerated in terms of animation quality (synthetic looking camera movements, jarringly jumpy animation that's not funny but forced, and wacky just for the sake of being wacky [he's in his "late chuck jones period" in terms of animation style as I've heard people say]). And as someone mentioned earlier, yeah he is still working the cans without labels cartoon but as you should know he's infamously known for working really slowly (I know quality animation takes time but even then he still takes a long time). His animation constantly switches from being just like his old stuff to looking like an amateur did it with only knowing the bare basics. Mr.Horse sums up my opinion on this short: "No Sir, I didn't like it."
