The French network was broadcasting one of the spontaneous memorial services at the scene of the attack when a woman wearing a hijab was seen on camera removing the flag from among the flags of other countries, crumpling it, and tearing it up. After that, she hid it under one of the solidarity signs left at the square.
There is a right way to protest, but thats not it. Whats with protests lately being so detrimental to their own cause?
There is a right way to protest, but thats not it. Whats with protests lately being so detrimental to their own cause?
Belief in their own righteousness.
not the time or the place lady
Incredibly disrespectful to both the Israeli and the victims, bitch.
Incredibly disrespectful to both the Israeli and the victims, bitch.
Somehow I doubt that respect for Israel is the message she was attempting to broadcast. :v:
I hope she's arrested and charged, fuck her.
What does destroying an Israeli flag have to do with terrorist attacks in Brussels?
What does destroying an Israeli flag have to do with terrorist attacks in Brussels?
Probably either: 1) :conspiratard: 2) Stupid enough to still believe that Israel is the source of the problems in the middle east
Good on her.
I hope she's arrested and charged, fuck her.
No, fuck you. (User was permabanned for this post ("Flaming— not learning" - Starpluck))
What does destroying an Israeli flag have to do with terrorist attacks in Brussels?
Nothing, she just saw an Israeli flag at a public event and decided to be a vapid cunt.
Good on her. No, fuck you.
What? What she did was incredibly disrespectful in the given context. There is a time and place for everything, this certainly wasn't it.
-snip bad readying- (User was banned for this post ("Didn't read the thread (assumed she bought the flag)— if you snip after others quoted you— its to late" - Starpluck))
She screwed with a memorial, its in pretty poor taste that goes just beyond protesting by tearing up a flag
It's sad to see that some people think ripping up a flag (that they likely bought) is grounds for arrest.
She took it down from the already present flags and then tore it apart. So, you know, she stole government (or someone else's, at least) property and then damaged it. She also hid it to try and get away with it. Nice reading the fucking blurb of the article that doesn't even require you to click on the source.
It's sad to see that some people think ripping up a flag (that they likely bought) is grounds for arrest.
This is far more than just ripping up a flag, it's insanely disrespectful to the innocent people who were murdered Even if it wasn't a memorial, she still destroyed someone elses property and that's illegal [editline]24th March 2016[/editline] lol not even just someone elses things, the government's things this lady can get stuffed
Sure it was a woman and not Starpluck in drag? (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - BANNED USER))
It's sad to see that some people think ripping up a flag (that they likely bought) is grounds for arrest.
A memorial is set up for victims of a terrorist attack, and someone comes along to destroy part of the memorial. That is at the very least is property damage, but the message she's sending is one of violence against Jews.
I hope she's arrested and charged, fuck her.
She should have every freedom to protest against Israel, even if that means tearing up a copy of the flag, but not by stealing one and definitely not at a memorial for unrelated victims.
I hope she's arrested and charged, fuck her.
But dude she is probably married and you know how "they" deal with adultery in Islam
But dude she is probably married and you know how "they" deal with adultery in Islam
He's not hoping that she gets raped dude
Uh, guys? Netanyahu made a comment that Belgium "got what it deserved" because they were "too concerned with eating chocolate and enjoying life".
Happened again; [editline]24th March 2016[/editline]
Uh, guys? only thing i can find on it is http://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/Israeli-minister-Katz-If-Belgium-continues-eating-chocolate-it-wont-be-able-to-fight-terror-448924
“The first rule of war is know your enemy, and Europe and the current American government are unwilling to define this war as against Islamist terrorism,” Katz said. “If Belgians continue eating chocolate and enjoying life and looking like great democrats and liberals, and not noticing that some of the Muslims there are planning terrorism, they won’t be able to fight them.”

Uh, guys? Netanyahu made a comment that Belgium "got what it deserved" because they were "too concerned with eating chocolate and enjoying life".
And that justifies this somehow? It's still extremely disrespectful to rip a flag off a memorial.
And that justifies this somehow? It's still extremely disrespectful to rip a flag off a memorial.
I'm fairly convinced that the woman ripped the flag up under the assumption that the person who placed it was attempting to make a sweeping generalization about Muslims under the guise of solidarity. Wouldn't you agree that doing that is disrespectful in and of itself? Edit: Oh man, that video. Hard to say if she and the guy were in the same boat, though.
Even though she stole the flag it's understandable the anger Palestinians have towards the Israelis (I'm assuming she's Palestinian, the article didn't clarify much). The Israelis are part of the reason as to why the middle East is so unstable. After the overthrow of Iranian leadership in the 1950s, (there's still debate whether Israeli government was implicated in the overthrow, but a lot of sources cite US relations with Israel as being a prime reason to why the overthrow happened.) Whether correct or not, the outrage of a lot of Arabs at Israel and their "meddling" is a large part of terrorism these days, due to funding of terrorist elements by Iran or suadi arabia ( the suadis actually still have missiles pointed at tel Aviv). It doesn't make it right, though. She should have at least brought her own flag. It's disgusting, however, how she nearly quite literally is saying "the Jews did this." It's not right to point people who want someone held accountable to Jewish community, in part because they are both the most persecuted but also the wrong people to place the blame on.
