Event: Thousands plan to 'Scream Helplessly At The Sky On The Anniversary' of Trump's Election
Thousands of concerned citizens will take part in a new ritual of sorts: commemorating the anniversary of Donald Trump's election by screaming at the sky.
Over 4,000 Facebook users have RSVP'd—another 33,000 are interested in attending—to the Nov. 8 event being held in Boston that is literally titled "Scream helplessly at the sky on the anniversary of the election."
"This administration has attacked everything about what it means to be American," Johanna Schulman, a local activist in Cambridge who is working on organizing the event, told Newsweek Friday. "Who wouldn't feel helpless every day? Coming together reminds us that we are not alone, that we are part of an enormous community of activists who are motivated and angry, whose actions can make a difference."

That's great, we get a repeat of one of the objectively funnier parts of the inauguration. I hope they practised their screaming more than then though, this could be easily louder and with a bit more passion than then.
Does the despair of the nation give you a boner or something lmao
Seems like a pretty puerile and non-constructive protest. I'm sure there's political mechanisms that could be worked through to hold the administration accountable, especially if you had this many people that are able to put something into action. Screaming at the sky accomplishes nil.

It's a stress relief, not a protest.

How about make a fucking sign you lazy fuck. Why do they have to drag the liberal name through the mud.
Conservatives continue to fail to understand humor, like clockwork.. I bet you think Limp Bizkit is actually playing at Taco Bell too?
As someone who suffers from severe panic attacks, screaming helplessly doesn't sound particularly stress-relieving.

Why does every leftist has this urge to embarrass themselves and their fucking cause by acting like retards/assholes/total nutjobs?
If done right this could be awesome

:fap:
he'll time it so he finishes when the screams are at their loudest

Trump or Tudd? Because both seem equally likely.
I recall it being a tradition in some universities to start screaming into the night after finals so this doesn't sound that crazy.
sounds like one in the trend of silly events planned, like all of the Hurricane Irma ones or the 'scream like goku' one
it seems like people don't understand it's all jokes and thinks it's another case of 'triggered lefties butthurt'
it's jokes my man
They should scream at the white house. They're bound to match the natural frequency of the white house and make it collapse.
Just make sure not to do it on the weekend when he's out golfing

This. You'd have to be a dumbass to think more than a hand full of loons would actually do this. There are literally hundreds of fake Facebook events that are identical in nature, dumb non-news.

This. Newsweek is terrible if they're remotely taking this seriously.
this sounds fuckin hilarious and i'll be back in the area for thanksgiving im in
Honestly this is pretty ridiculous I can't even picture a bunch of grown men and women coming together to scream at the sky for a period of time it just sounds embarrassing.
There was a "Scream like Vegeta event at Pioneer square in downtown Portland a month back. Apparently people were screaming so loud people on the 14th floor of a nearby building could hear them. It's hard to miss this all being large jokes.
Some of the vids were pretty lulzy.

i will cackle into the sky upon that day, the anniversary of the rebirth of eris upon our world
The whole article's premise is just based on the Facebook event which is most likely a joke.
Is this actually Polidicks worthy?

Fuck, I missed this? If they do a repeat I'll go get recordings, good excuse to get soul food and watch the locals.
One of my favorite one of these is the plan to turn the St. Louis arch upside down to make a wicked sick half pipe
I mean if you really dont have anything better to do...
