They are soon going to restrict all access to Chernobyl soon, the sarcophagus that they built to keep in the most radioactive parts of the Chernobyl plant has decayed to a point to where it has started to crumble, if they don't do anything soon, it will collapse, causing a cloud of radioactive dust to be released into the air. What they are planning to do is to build a larger, stronger sarcophagus to keep the radiation from spreading.
I have also read that there is a forest near chernobyl that has been named the "Red Forest" because of how radioactive it is.

Also, interesting fact-
The Gasmasks you see on the ground were never used during the incident as they were pretty useless at lessening the effects of Radiation.
They're there because boxes of them were stored in Hospitals and Schools, after the disaster looters came and found them, inside the filters are silver rings, they'd take out the ring and sell it for scrap. Which is why they're all beaten up and torn apart.
Chernobyls been restricted for years, the only way to get in is to go on one of those tours or fill out tons of paperwork for the Ukraine government.

I thought the title said "Ghost town (In memory of The Specials)" before I could see the rest of it. First thing I thought was "Oh fuck, they're dead?!"
Anyway, once I realised it wasn't about The Specials and that it didn't involve the song Ghost Town, I just had to go and put it on.
Hahah holy shit, I skipped a bit of the video and it ended up on the bit with the girl sliding on the slide, and then the "Do you remember the good old days..." bit started.
Aside from the inappropriate music, it was pretty interesting
