• Donald Trump tweets (and then quickly deletes) about Clinton being corrupt with a Star of David
Donald J. Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, came under fire on Saturday for posting on Twitter an image of the Star of David shape next to a picture of Hillary Clinton and calling his opponent the “most corrupt candidate ever!” While the six-pointed star is used in other contexts, including as a symbol of many Sheriff’s Departments, it has deep meaning in Judaism and the image was overlaid atop a pile of money. It appeared to play into the stereotype of Jews being obsessed with finances. After being derided on social media, Mr. Trump deleted the post and replaced it with one that had a circle instead of the star shape.
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/03/us/politics/trump-clinton-star-of-david.html?smid=fb-nytimes&smtyp=cur I have no idea how to embed a tweet so click the link to see it.
Is Trump seriously a troll? Christ.
even if it was a gaffe that's a hilarious fuck-up
possibly the biggest non story yet
If you look at the star itself for half a second you'll realize that it's just a stock graphic of a star literally anyone could have pulled out of PowerPoint. Prime example of people looking for meaning where there is none. Also this title is the definition of sensationlism. Last I checked Judaism doesn't own the rights to all things hexagram.

i dont see a fucking thing (User was banned for this post ("Didn't read the article" - Starpluck))
Doesn't really seem to be a star that was planted to call her a Jewish stereotype. Looks more like someone going for the pop graphic speech bubble effect.
Actually guys we found the source, it's /Pol/, yes that means it was a star of david.
The media's desperation in looking for Trump smear tactics is approaching that of Half Life fans. "LOOK! A STAR WITH 6 POINTS! CLEARLY A STAR OF DAVID INDICATING ANTI-SEMITISM, I WANT THIS ON THE FRONT PAGE, NOW!"

Am I fucking blind or something, I can't see a Star of David anywhere. (User was banned for this post ("Didn't read the article" - Starpluck))
this was the original what's in that other tweet is a gorilla with a bullethole in its head, which is also pretty /pol/ in itself but irrelevant to the rest of the imagery

Isn't a star of David two triangles on top of each other ? As in, not filled in?

Hahaha whatever his intentions were this will make him more popular with a certain crowd. It's easily dismissable as he probably didn't make the picture and that star isn't exclusive to judaism.

So Trump just hijacked the news cycle (again) and had them broadcast his tweet. Looks like he's still doing fine without campaign funds.
This is just making news out of nothing, probably to smear. It's just a star. Just like the rating we have.

... That's not a Star of David, the fuck is wrong with people? Both Wikipedia and the Oxford dictionary state the same thing, so I'm going to wager they're both probably right.
Its shape is that of a hexagram, the compound of two equilateral triangles.

A six-pointed figure consisting of two interlaced equilateral triangles, used as a Jewish and Israeli symbol.
Not to mention, the shape fits very well into the rest of the image, not a big surprise that the designer would choose to utilize it. A circle, square, rectangle, or triangle would all look awful, after that you need to look at other shapes.
You do understand the concept of 'negative publicity" right?
Let me quote you the next president of the United States:
“good publicity is preferable to bad, but from a bottom-line perspective, bad publicity is sometimes better than no publicity at all. Controversy, in short, sells.” ― Donald J. Trump, Trump: The Art of the Deal

the next president of the United States
you're a wonderful human being
