Two men were arrested this week, accused of using a skateboard to assault a man and stealing his sunglasses after he tried to take a photo of one of the men’s triple mohawk hairstyle, according to an arrest affidavit.
The man who was assaulted said he had been taking photos of “anything that was remotely interesting or unusual,” according to the affidavit. When he photographed 23-year-old Johnathan Washburn’s mohawk, Timothy Beard, 19, told him to delete the picture from his digital camera, according to the affidavit.
The man refused and Beard took his $100 Oakley sunglasses, the affidavit said. When the victim tried to get his sunglasses back, according to the affidavit, Washburn hit him on the left side of the head with the skateboard. Police found Washburn inside a nearby bar and Beard, with the sunglasses, across the street near the 400 block of Sixth Street, the affidavit said.
Beard was charged with theft from a person, which is a state jail felony. Washburn was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony. They were both in Travis County jail as of Thursday afternoon.[/release]

I thought the reason why people got hair like that was so that they would get attention, meaning they would want to be photographed. I guess that's not the case.

I think the title is supposed to be a play on Anarchy in the UK, a song by the Sex Pistols. As you're probably aware mohawks (and the variants) are commonly associated with punks.

According to the affidavit, they didn't need to post that word before every sentence.
And why didn't the man delete the photo? It's incredibly voyeuristic (and illegal if I remember right) to take photos of people without permission, when the guy asked him to he should have.
No excuse for beating him up and stealing his glasses though.
