The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has sharply increased its growth forecast for the UK economy.
It now expects the economy to grow 2.4% this year - faster than any other major European economy - against its previous forecast of 1.9%. In 2015, it expects growth of 2.2%.
The Treasury said the new UK forecast was further evidence that the government's economic plan was working.
But the IMF upgraded its forecast for the UK in 2014 by more than for any other economy. It also raised its forecast for growth in 2015 to 2.2%.

You may disagree with the governement's economic plan but having the best growth rates in Europe is still an achievement.
Cameron is love Cameron is life
Maybe all of this growth can cause them to lower the rail prices, highest in Europe and no justification.
I guess when you block free internet porn people have to go to blockbuster and rent it out, there's some money going into the economy.

Say that in a comedy club you'll be the best stand up there.
Perhaps they can begin to stop attacking those on benefits (because like you know? everyone on benefits is a dirty scrounger).

Blockbuster is dead though, if only Cameron implemented his porn filter sooner!
I would be very interested to know how this will affect NHS funding.

It's the best growth rate in the Eurozone, not in Europe or EU
It's the best growth rate in the Eurozone, not in Europe or EU
We're not in the Eurozone, we don't use the Euro.
Key word: predicts
This won't change spending for a few years, but at least we can look forward to an increase eventually.
This really makes Labour's economic plans look weak.
Now if only they'd stop immigration it'd be 20% growth

you forgot a zero

Given their huge budget already and the still huge deficit/debt, probably not very much.
It's going to take a while to eliminate the deficit, it is not time to turn back on the spending pipes.
growth forecast
When we get an ACTUAL growth of 2.4% that isn't based highly on consumer spending I'll say something positive. We are still paying huge amounts on interest, with poor wage growth.
And here I am going to go back into education at college because I can't find any work in IT because there aren't any IT companies in my area.
you forgot a zero
Oh you're right, I meant 0.20%
We're not in the Eurozone, we don't use the Euro.
Then it's not the biggest economic growth in anything
2.4% isn't good.
2.4% isn't good.
Then what is?
Then what is?
12.3%, 2.4% is okay.
12.3%, 2.4% is okay.
Who the fuck manages that rate of growth? Even China isn't anywhere near that.
Huh? What developed country has an economy growing at 12% per year??
It was a joke
2.4% isn't good.
Any growth is better than none at all.
