(500) Days of Summer is a story about an average man named Tom Hansen (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). He works a dead end job at a greeting card facility,
while hopelessly believing he'll find his true Love. That's where he meets Summer, an average but somewhat special woman named Summer Finn, who believes in quite the opposite.
This is a story of boy meets girl, but you should know upfront, this is not a love story.
Now this movie has become one of my absoulute favorite movies of all time. I'm not much for romantic movies, but this movie is a guys movie.
If you have ever been in a relationship you've lived this movie and you know that not everything is a happily ever after, or the end of
the world. What makes this movie so different is the style of the movie, the music, comedy and visual presentation they combine into the
movie. For me i was blown the fuck away at the Expectation scene.
Enough praise, if you havn't seen this movie. Give it a chance, you'll be pleasantly suprised. For those who have, take a look at the extras below ;)

Also a little side note, every time i saw this movie with a chick. They came out liking it but a little sad by it. Not a good sad, and it
won't get you laid after. Oh but hey, everyone had different opinions, not saying girls won't like it. It's not really a good date movie :)
This movie depressed the fuck out of me. Especially the party expectation scene. Seeing an ex with another guy when your not over them is the worst feeling ever.
Awesome movie. I love Joseph Gordon Levitt.
So this thread inspired me watch this movie. I can say I was pleasantly surprised by it. Everything about it was great.
Perhaps one of my favourite films, I love it.
I really did like this movie, was very surprised how much I related to it all.
Isn't there some cheesy ending where the guy meets a woman named 'Autumn' or 'Winter' or something.
Well yeah but apart from that it's pretty good

Yes, its ironic because it's then 500 days of Autumn

Yea, but i was kind of glad they did that, they needed that happy note at the end
Yeah but it ruined the atmosphere. I was nearly tearing up at the end until 'lol autimns'.
I heard about this before but never bothered to watch it until today, just finished watching it. Brilliant movie and amazing soundtrack.
Fucking love this movie.
It was depressing as all hell, but I'm glad it ended on a somewhat happy note. Even though the ending was kinda cliche with the whole "Hey, you've discovered another girl! Time for another 500 days."
I loved the ending I don't know why everyone was like hurr terrible joke. I thought it fit the mood perfectly. I mean the movie had a choreographed dance scene for fuck's sake.
It's a terrific happy depressing film.
I get so sucked into the emotion, that by the end I choke up in happiness. Definitely a favorite of mine.
Loved this movie. The soundtrack is amazing, too.
One of my favorite films ever, the reality vs expectations ripped out my heart
There are no words for how much I love this movie.
The first time I saw this movie I loved it.
The second time I absolutely hated it for some reason. I have yet to get over that opinion.
I fucking loved when he was all happy because of his night and the dance scene happened.
I want to watch this again but I chicken out because I don't think I can take the heartbreak

Okay, true, true. When I think back on it I actually loved that ending

Also I don't find the film that depressing. Might be because I have never been in a relationship but it was a really good watch.
