• Does anyone know what Starbucks employees do to your coffee?

Well, I have worked at star bucks for a few years and as such I have seen some pretty sick things that happen. Sometime I see the employees spit in another persons drink just because the other guy was a dick to him or he knew him beforehand. I asked one of those guys who did this and he told me he did it because the other guy was rude towards him last time when he ordered his stuff, and I kind of agreed with him but I think it's kind of wrong and disgusting to spit in another mans drink. So, should I report this guy to my manager or should I ignore him and let him spit into other peoples drinks. Word of advice guys, don't piss off the people serving your food unless you want some kind of foreign material in your drink. What do you think Facepunch?

I thought the saying of "Dont be rude to people who make your food" was already implied. [sp]Waiting.. (movie)[/sp] [editline]27th December 2011[/editline] I work at subway, and these things above dont happen. AFAIK.
they shit in it
Report that guy. That is just disgusting.
Wow, what kind of question is this? Are you really asking whether or not you should report an employee that is spitting into people's drinks? The only reasonable thing to do is to let him keep doing it. After all, it is the customer's fault for being rude.
I always try to sound nice to the people. And if they did spit in my food, I always say, "Thanks a lot, I love this place." after I leave. That'll sure make them feel bad.
I deliver pizza, tip me well or you'll be missing slices
I don't understand how the customer wouldn't see it. They make the drinks right in front of you do they not? It's not like a restaurant where they make everything in a separate kitchen. and to the guy who mentioned subway it would be really weird if that did happen considering the food is literally made in front of your face hahaha. The employee would have to be a complete idiot.
As a former Wendy's employee, I can say we never did anything like this. We just bitched and made jokes about how fat the person ordering the food was. TIL: Baristas are very angry employees.
That's strange, what state do you live in?
Yeah they didn't even cough into it. How strange.
Spitting in food is fucking disgusting, I don't see how a customer could possibly be rude enough to warrant that. I would report that shithead in a heartbeat.
They put something it in, to make you forget it. I don't even remember how I got here.
I work at a Dunkin and see some pretty bad shit. Tip of the day: Don't be a dick to the server.
i came from new york where it is normal to tip everyone that serves you food generously. this is how i was taught as a result, living in rural pennsylvania has made me popular with the entire staff at the local dominos pizza, and every regular employee at any local food service place around my apartment. they all treat me like i'm their best friend (which is actually really annoying so pls small talk is my comfortable limit) i never get spit, hair, semen, or whatever in any of my food.
I think that shit only happens in America... I've never heard of anyone ever getting away with doing that shit here.
I think that shit only happens in America... I've never heard of anyone ever getting away with doing that shit here.
It doesn't happen here as much as you think. It's a felony to tamper with any product in any way, and trust me, managers love to burn you for doing shit like that.

He obviously doesn't care about his job. [editline]28th December 2011[/editline] Actually, kill him. Spread his blood oozing, dead, broken limbs and organs all over his sleeping unsuspecting parents. Fuck that guy, I hate that guy.

What do you think Facepunch?
...You know I've always wondered what constitutes as "pissing people off" in the food service industry - does it mean being generally inconsiderate, or does it mean doing something that's just genuinely injurious to them? Because I'm starting to get really fucking annoyed by how socially acceptable it seems to be for people in restaurants to tamper with a customer's food if they happened to have done something that could've been construed as offensive to them in even the slightest bit. Spitting or messing with a customer's food isn't just immature and stupid, it's also disgusting and has the potential to spread illness. Yeah, sure, it's preferable that customers treat their servers with respect, but just because one of them wronged you doesn't mean that you're automatically exempt from the common rules of decency. I mean, come on, grow up.
This one lady told me she liked my hair, I could see through her lies, so I put small holes in the bottom of her grocery bags so it rips open in the parking lot.
People can get sick from other people's spit. That should be obvious by now.
i never get sick whenever me and my girlfriend swap slobber when we make out
i never get sick whenever me and my girlfriend swap slobber when we make out
Yeah, and you are going into making out with your girlfriend with the expectation of getting someone else's saliva. that doesn't happen when you go to starbucks

What does the employee gain by messing with a person's food?
Yuck, I think you've put me off restaurant food for a while - as for what they do I suppose that depends on what you can see them doing but you wouldn't know if they spent all morning spitting in the cups before they handed the coffee out and reserved those cups for their "bad" customers. I don't understand how tipping would work at restaurants here but if I had to I would only offer to a great service - plus I would rather my tip go straight to the chef for a good meal than just the person who handed me food.
Shit like this is why I'm always polite as possible at takeaways. Got damn.
Good job I haven't had a rubbish overpriced Starbucks coffee in about 4 years.
