• Google Chrome Tab Crash exploit
    4 replies, posted
Someone over at reddit found an annoying crash. Only the tab http://www.reddit.com/r/webdev/comments/31kumu/this_post_crashes_chrome/ https://github.com/jlblatt/AwSnap - github with some explanation on the exploit. Opening that on chrome will crash the tab. Use Https if you wish to view it or another browser. It can be exploited elsewhere including on here. The Chrome Dev's have fixed this already but it is not on the main branch as of now.
You can embed an HTML page in chrome with javascript:prompt(). The input turns into a page, which is cool for web design testing
I'm using chrome and it's not crashing
64-bit Chrome versions might not be affected at all. The 64-bit dev channel one isn't, that I can attest to. Not sure about 64-bit stable or beta though.
