(i am disappointed with this piece, i was trying to put a bit of realism into my style of drawing and failed) I know i really shouldn't put work here that i'm not happy with but i did put quite some time into it, so it might as well not go to waste. here it is.. i am however pleased with the background and colors of the whole thing. :) Also i don't know why the image is getting stretched bigger than it actually is when being viewed on fp. right click view image to view it at its real size/quality. and, toss me some reasons as to why you think her face looks all a bit too dumb :\ .. i'll take the critique for a work i'll be doing later. i had recorded this piece, then in the middle of the recording, i left to get something to eat and forgot to pause, i came back after a couple of hours to see the recorder recorded a bunch of hours and my hard drive space was taken up and it crashed, and i lost the recording :<
Well...Her eyebrow hairs are kind of thick (unless you wanted them that way), and the eye looks a little abnormal. Other than that, I think you did a good job. You just gotta practice more.
Well if you are going for realism I guess I can repeat the advice you gave me a long time ago plus some Blending. first of all, as of now it looks rather....a tad bit....i'm not sure how to explain it other than "unfinished", take some time to make the face look smoother and more time spent. ALSO, lighting, you have your basic lighting, but keep in mind that this is a vivid light choice, so you want to have some places of extremes. It's almost going to be a silhouette really, (that is unless there's another light source OTHER THAN NATURAL REFLECTED LIGHT [/stress], but that's not really practical cause we can't see it) Like what you did with the hair, it took me a little while to realize that the hair wasn't blue with yellow highlights, but just how lighting affected it. same thing needs to be done with the face. I'm sure xerios will come running in talking about the proportions or something on those lines, so I'll let him have some fun. but yeah, blending and light. i know the background isn't really the main focus of the picture but it's lacking to the uber max. lol. Sometimes the background makes a picture happen, so it would be wise to complete that as well. unless you are going artsy fartsy pansy modern abstract on me....... -_-
thanks guys..
did we do something wrong?
i like the way that she has neck hair 0_0
Looks good, I'm digging the background too, pretty creative.
