• Highly top secret facility found in Sweden, possibly something to do with Nuclear Weapons

I was reading Flashback (A huge Swedish discussion board) a few hours ago and discovered something very amusing. It seems that people have found a top secret facility outside Bie in Sweden, you might be thinking this is either fake or not thread worthy. But here is where the interesting part gets in. A little backstory first, during the Cold War the Swedish government and military wanted a safe bunker in the event of a nuclear war. Very few people outside the government know it's location. This bunker is called the Riksbunker (National Bunker). The area itself is a SO (Skyddsobjekt). A military installation. Having that identification means that it is active. There are multiple security cameras and motion detectors everywhere where this installation is located. Talking about location, enter this into Google Earth and you can see where the facility is located. "Lundsjön, Katrineholm". The most interesting part is this, there is a ton of warm cooling water coming out from the facility, during winter time the lake is frozen but not the cooling water. This is confirmed by multiple sources. Here is the post relating to that. Translated from Swedish to English.
I grew up in rural areas and have little information on the facility. I have spoken to two people, independently of each other, on "bieåsen" as they called it. One drove rubble from the building. He saw it never completed, but describes it as astonishing. The second job as a welder in the plant when it was blasted. He said that parts of the facility inside the cavern stood on springs. As recently as the 80s and well into the 90s the facility so big that the armed forces had to hire a cleaning company. They later had to stop because the facility had changed somehow. In the lake below the ridge, there was a significant release of hot water. How cold it was, in winter lay never ice at the facility. Perch thrived tremendously well there! In contrast to the other side of the lake that is open and fine, the forest was very dense in this area and slopes down to the lake very steep. We were thus forced to walk across the ice to reach the open water, but it was hard to get close as the ice became thinner and thinner the closer we got. In the summer you could be quiet to the area with warm water discharge at the same luck as a result. In the forest there were fences down to the lake with warnings and signs of SO. Despite, or perhaps because of?, Difficulties as we crept ever as the curious boys we were around some of the area but did not see that much, no cameras or anything, but at one point we were evicted by armed military personnel despite the fact that we was outside the fence. It was not a fun experience. We never took us inside the fence. Sometime in the 90s so the facility was built on: it was significant operations in the forests, and a number of green metallic buildings popped up out of the ground, some very near the road. At first they were very clear, but over time they have been hidden better by nature. When the plant was thought to be rebuilt as was also new asphalt on the road that goes past. In the countryside, people thought it was strange, there were roads that were in much worse condition and busier than this. The road was popular for bikers because of the excellent asphalt. I will be meeting the two men again, and particularly hope that the welder can provide some more information.
This is very strong proof that there could be a Nuclear Reactor inside the facility. Rumor has it that it was built during the 1950s and 1970s. Sweden had a major nuclear weapons program during that time. Of course it was scrapped but there are rumors it still exists, right in this very facility. Oh I forgot, it seems like there is a ton of ventilation in the facility, NBC ventilation. Here are a couple of pictures from the facility. Isn't so top secret if people know about it.
They're planning to take over the world. I wouldn't mind.
new world order lizard men george bush
Someone fetch the tinfoil hats.
I guess you could say... the secret's out. It's probably nothing, and if it's an active installation, I wouldn't want to be caught poking around there. If, at one point, there was a nuclear reactor there, the cooling towers are probably still active since it's not like you can just throw dispensed fuel rods into the ocean.
Not so top secret anymore is it?
People barely know about it, think about it as Area 51. People know how the outside looks like but none knows the inside
Cool, maybe experimenting with nuclear reactors.
If they build their bombs like they build their furniture we have nothing to worry about.
Sweden missile crisis
Their holding nuclear powered aliens.
Ok OP thanks for posting national secrets on this forum it was very informative
Nukes? So Reinfeldt DID have a plan after all! [editline]1st August 2011[/editline] that, or they're guarding the kings porn stash
The Swedes look innocent then suddenly get us up the arse with nuclear weapons. I've called it.
Nukes? So Reinfeldt DID have a plan after all! [editline]1st August 2011[/editline] that, or they're guarding the kings porn stash
Now I know what they're ejaculating into the lake.
If they build their bombs like they build their furniture we have nothing to worry about.
I suppose their mobile missile program comes in a cardboard box, almost exclusively uses fiberboard and is assembled with a screwdriver and a hex wrench?
An underground bunker built on springs? That's definitely designed to survive a nuclear war, then - in the US, only missile launch centers are built that way. Even the bunkers designed to protect Congressmen don't have that - that's for extremely war-sensitive stuff. The warm water means there's a nuclear reactor, or possibly something else high-heat (fusion tokamak? a massive datacenter?). That might just be a small, on-site nuke plant, though, designed to provide enough power to keep the location running. Might just be a few dozen megawatts. Riksbunker seems a logical conclusion.
It's a top secret Swedish meatball factory!
He said that parts of the facility inside the cavern stood on springs.
Sounds like it's some sort of Nuclear Bunker. The Cheyenne Mountain Complex is designed the same way.
Great, now every person that has viewed this thread will be assassinated.
Nobody expects the Swedish Inquisition.

Did you know that their chief weapons (which are both many and diverse) are surprise, fear, ruthless efficiency, an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope, and nice red uniforms?
I, for one, welcome our new Swedish furniture. Er, overlords.
This is just asking for Michael Bay to make a movie about it where US special forces investigate it, get caught by the Swedish army and Sweden is completely destroyed in the resulting firefight.
They're planning to take over the world. I wouldn't mind.
Swedes taking over the world with their social(ist) security and superior interior design? Oh woe, what will we do!
What does it have in the way of visible communications?
Wow that's really cool. I always wondered what kind of top secret places exist in the world. Like honestly, a top secret underground nuclear reactor, how badass is that.
What's funny is that you'd think someone would've noticed a huge complex covered in security cameras and pouring out hot water into a frozen lake a lot sooner Surely some thermal imaging device picked that up somewhere, I know our spy satellites take thermal imagery
You must retrieve the documents, stalker.
