Activision wants 2600USD and the full ownership of the domain, like they didnt have enough already.
lock up your kids, lock up your wife, Activision suing errybody
2600 isn't really much.
"Mommy that kid made fun of me! Get him into trouble!!"
2600 isn't really much.
It's a lot to sue what is most likely just a kid in his room.
What fucking right do they have to sue them? If they want the domain that's fine, try and get it, but take...a fucking...joke.
Activision being a massive cry baby.
Not sure how OP managed to jam 2 typos into the domain name in the title.

I thought Activision was being even MORE ridiculous, suing moderwarefare.com
It's a joke Activision, you know, like MW3.
$2600? That's it? Activision wipes their ass with bills bigger than that.

Tired as fuck, you get the point.
Tired as fuck, you get the point.
That's always the excuse.
Are they really getting mad over a website? REALLY ACTIVISION?!?!
What a bunch of babies.
I hate Call of Duty, but to be honest, Activision has a point.
All this stupid bullshit fanboys are pulling is damaging both franchises. First the asshat who put up this website, and now the dickhead who's leaking pictures of the Battlefield 3 alpha on the lowest settings available, claiming the game looks like shit.
These kids need a slap on the wrist, to say the least. Sooner or later they're going to learn that when you're fucking with a large corporation, you're just going to get a large corporate dick rammed up your ass.
Activision do not need a spare $2600, but to this kid it's probably going to take him a year to pay it back, they're just doing it out of spite.
I understand why they're doing this but... way to look like a crying kid throwing a tantrum, Activision.
They do have the right to react to this. But suing the guy is a bit of an overkill.
Website claimed it first.
I read somewhere the website has been there for several years. They didn't care about it before.
What's stopping them from choosing a different domain name?
Would they actually have the chance to win that or is the right completly on the side of the site owner?
The 11-page document, includes among other things, reasons by Activision as to why the respondent has no right or legitimate interest to the name.
Just wondering but do you have to have 'legitimate interest' for a domain name to own it?

Maybe.... maybe.... maybe Activison doesn't want money anymore! Maybe they release moderwarfare 3 and it will be genius!

Considering how many dickheads and trolls would otherwise claim popular domains just to fuck with people, yes.
Example given: Modernwarfare3.com
Just wondering but do you have to have 'legitimate interest' for a domain name to own it?
Nope. If someone wants a domain name, they either register it or negotiate with the owner for it.
The domain has a registered trademark in it, they have every right to sue, I don't see what the hell is so wrong with this.

Right. And my ass will sprout wings and the world will be dominated by squid people.
I'd sell that domain for like 5000 bucks instead of writing shit there and getting myself sued

No they don't. The website was put up before MW3 was trademarked.

Good, then I hope it stays up forever.
