One could make the argument that people like Chuck Berry and Elvis are the godfathers of rock and roll, but that doesn't mean a band like Cream sounds a lot like them. Black Sabbath doesn't sound like the majority of metal, it [I]sounds[/I] more like Hard Rock. That's all I was saying.

It's rudimentary, but Metal as fuck. The memorable, heavy guitar riffs, the badass bass and fun drum part. Plus the overall dark and doomy tone, along with sinister lyrics and haunting vocals...
Sounds pretty Metal to me.

Sabbath don't sound as heavy to many people these days because everyone's used to heavier metal.
