Today, during work-school (9AM-2PM), there are two teachers who check in on us to make sure we are doing our jobs right. My scanning thing is 1)Take paper 2) Put paper in scanner 3) Scan it. 4)Take paper out. 5)Mark it 6)Put it away and repeat. But I do the job differently:1)Take paper 2)Mark It. 3)Put in scanner. 4)Scan it 5.)Take out 6)Put away and repeat.
Just as you know it, a teacher walks in and catches me marking the paper before I scan it. "You have to follow proper work procedure blah blah blah...whatt if you went away from your work, some guy came up, and put them away cuz he thought they were done?" Answer: :Hurrr: that's why Sticky Paper was invented with the words "[U]NEEDS TO BE SCANNED[/U]" on it for.

Maybe you should've just followed the rules and done the work the way they told you, especially seeing as you knew that you'd already broken the rules a few times.
In my line if work if you don't do things "By the book" or properly in general you can get yourself or even worse someone else hurt of killed.
This isn't much of a punishment for your case though, at lest in my eyes it isn't.
