Basically, I'm never buying from Newegg again. According to the local news you'll only owe money if you spent $1500 in that time frame (I didn't), but I'm still mad they made this decision.
Damn, I got that email a few weeks ago but didn't really think anything of it. Really hoping I don't get a letter in the mail anytime soon saying I owe some money because of this.

If you didn't, you should be safe.
I'm surprised someone else knows about his channel them myself. I like how he reviews on low cost and odd ball products.
Haven't bought a single thing from newegg since they got bought out, because this shit was inevitable after that. Damn shame because they used to be a badass company before the purchase.

Damn shame because they used to be a badass company before the purchase.
I stopped buying from them several years ago when they started giving me the runaround on returning a bunch of DoA stuff. Back in the 2000s their support was great and prompt. 5 years ago it went to shit. I spent a couple of hours on hold just so that I could get them to cover return shipping and cross ship stuff I needed for builds on several occasions. I gave them the benefit of the doubt once or twice, but after a while I realized that it just wasn't worth the effort. Their DoA rates were insane, and their support was legitimately horrible. Recently I stupidly bought two things because they were on a substantial sale. One arrived DoA and the other never even shipped. I got the tracking number, and the package never left their warehouse. I spent about 10 minutes arguing with someone from India, and then just said, fuck it, called my bank and issued a chargeback. Never again. The only thing newegg is good for is their power search function. Otherwise, punch the item into pcpartpicker and buy it literally anywhere else. It's not worth saving a few dollars to deal with NewEgg. Amazon's search is hot steaming garbage, but at least they ship on time and their support doesn't jerk you around hoping that you'll go away.

If you're buying enterprise from newegg you're already doing it wrong though tbh.

Ordered a PC case, got the incorrect item. So I called them up, they said sure. Then told me I'd have to spend the 20/25 dollars to ship it back to them. Had to argue on why I had to pay for their mistake, they gave in and sent me a slip to ship it back. They gave me the full runaround, tried calling them. Got hung up on, they took forever to reply to my emails. They my money, and my product for about two months. Before I finally posted some shit on their facebook say they where thieves, within about 10 minutes I had someone from PR get a-hold of me and sent me a refund. First and last time I'll ever use them.
I've never had a problem with Newegg but I've only used the Canadian branch. Hm.
never had much issue with newegg. got a bad stick of ram a few years ago when building my PC but support wasnt a hassle for me. last time I bought from them though was fall of '16 though, dunno if that means anything though
If you're buying enterprise from newegg you're already doing it wrong though tbh.
I mean if you're ordering bulk amounts of equipment then ya, but theirs nothing wrong with using them to get a replacement part for something like a supermicro server, I'm not going through our vendor to do that lol.
Just use Amazon when possible and enjoy good customer service and fast prime shipping? Literally a better service in every way. Tbh I can't wait for Newegg to die at this rate. The gpu scalping is horrendous enough but that's tip of th iceberg at this point.
just ordered a new gaming mouse and mousepad from amazon instead of newegg :class:
I just usually search what I want on newegg and copy it to Amazon lol
