Oh boy, here we go.
Google Streetview is free, it already exists and is extremely comprehensive. Why the need?
people will still use google
Why in the world would they do this, can't they just copy google's images?
Why in the world would they do this, can't they just copy google's images?
Yea!, like what they did with googles silly searches. :v:
At least they'll tell us when they're coming past so I can be in the photo :v:
When I read the title I thought that Microsoft was starting a new urban, hip-hop based ad campaign. :v:
I actually quite like microsofts map thing, what with their weird birds eye view stuff. But I think like everyone else we just use google maps cause it's simpler :v:.
Streetside is fo' da gangstaz in da hood yo.
Back to yer knitting Microsoft, Google have it covered.
why is microsoft always 5 years behind they're so silly
So much failure. :v:
Alright when microsoft copies other things I can see their incentive, but why on earth would they copy this? It's so much work, and is there really that much of a need to compete with google on this?
I would rather see Microsoft do a live 3d cameras around the world instead of this.
Of course it's just Microsoft stealing Google's shit as usual, but Bing Maps' Bird's Eye view is really fucking cool, and another service to compensate for any shit photos with a huge car in the way of what you want to see on Street View can't hurt I doubt it will even cover my town though, Street View covers the entire United Kingdom
So basically, Microsoft ran out of ideas and is now copying Google, with Bing, they stole Google's search results for Bing, and now they are copying streetview.
Next thing you know, Windows'll be based of Chrome OS and IE of Chrome.

i really feel that microsoft are better off trying to not copy what everyone else is doing unless it comes to improving windows or creating something new
