Washington (CNN)Amid the chaos and confusion of President Donald Trump's new executive order on immigration and refugees, sources tell CNN that White House policy director Stephen Miller spoke with officials of the State Department, Customs and Border Patrol, Department of Homeland Security and others to tell them that the President is deeply committed to the executive order and the public is firmly behind it -- urging them not to get distracted by what he described as hysterical voices on TV.
they'll be doing this to citizens next
the public is firmly behind it
The White House policy director is a source of fake news, confirmed.
Fascist propagandist.
'I've got someone who frequents Facepunch and various pornography websites. What do you recommend, sir?'
Article says they're only considering doing this, not actually doing it [yet]
Article also says this is in regard to the San Berindino shootings, which I have no idea how this measure would have prevented that
Why would they need to know their contacts? Surely they would know their social medai anyway, but why would that be important?
EDIT: oh wait, foreign visitors. Not diplomats. Not sure how I got that confused.

lets just let that one stand by itself for a bit.
Don't worry guys, It's okay to violate people's human rights as long as they're foreigners
Indefensible, authoritarian garbage

"THE PUBLIC are behind this" a public group literally means only a section of people not a majority
a group of republicans lol
the public is firmly behind it -- urging them not to get distracted by what he described as hysterical voices on TV.
"Don't listen to the american people", said the government
lets just let that one stand by itself for a bit.
It's just alternative facts
lets just let that one stand by itself for a bit.
"Hysterical voices"
Does this guy browse SH? It seems like the popular strategy today is to call the opposition delusional, crazy, or hysterical.
I want everybody to know that I and several prostitutes never urinated on Obama's bed. It's just an alternative lifestyle.
so lemme get this straight. We are not allowed to make a database of gun sales because we fear the government might do something with that, however we are allowed to make a database of everything else about you and people are A-OK with it.
The NRA should be livid, The Libertarians should be livid, The republicans who voted against meta-data collection should be livid.
but of course because trump did it, its OK

"...What's a facepunch?"
"...What's a facepunch?"
I would be MORE than happy to demonstrate what a facepunch is to Trump, Bannon, Conway or any of the other creepy cunts.
"...What's a facepunch?"
I wonder if Obama ever looked into it

How is asking for social media info and cell phone contacts a violation of human rights? Those are asked for every background check performed for security clearances to work in the US government.
Good thing im not on any social media website then

Why should you be forced to give that information away if you're not working for the government?
Why should foreign visitors, not even people going to livei n the States, be forced to give that information?
That information could be used to block and ban people because of their political views. It's dangerous for governments to have that info.

this might become his new place to preach

You're not forced to visit the US, you can't really say that you're being forced to give up your info.

He might be here right now....

Right to privacy is a recognized human right. If you're not willing to submit to this invasive background check as a normal traveler it also kind of infringes on freedom of movement

What about the people who live here or have family here?
This argument is stupid and you know it
He might be here right now....
He could be anyone one of us!

This is fucking terrifying.
You're not forced to visit the US, you can't really say that you're being forced to give up your info.
you're not forced to visit the US? so what are you suggesting, we keep closing ourselves off the from the world further, discouraging anyone foreign from entering our borders unless compliant with giving up their personal info and privacy?
you really want us to live within closed borders under an authoritarian regime huh

No, I am saying you should follow the rules of the country you plan to visit as a traveller.
this shit is indefensible give up your pride and cult for a minute and realize you're complicit with the deterioration of what has separated this country from all the undemocratic shitholes that exist in this world
how is any of this going to make america great, we are literally regressing as a country
