God Battlefront is gotta be one of 10 most disappointing things this decade and not just in video games
"Accusing Konami of pettiness is like accusing a dog of having stinky shit out of its bum-bum and... I could have come up with a better metaphor than that... That's just crass! Hmm... No, all the other ones I can come up with are just offensive. We'll stick with stinky bum-bum. But yeah, Konami has a stinky bum-bum. Fuck Konami."
I fucking love Jimquisition. :v:

I actually think Rainbow Six Siege is one of the best ubisoft games they've had in years..
You can totally unlock the new operators just casually playing the game and even half of the skins you can earn normally.
You can't say that Rainbow Six Siege has as much DLC bullshit as battlefront, come on..
I don't understand the issue with SFV. It was announced the game would come out in this state nearly a year before it was released. Same deal with Siege, Ubisoft was very clearly about how they'd release the game and the nature of the beta access.
Battlefront is a legitimate issue because they lied about the content. However if a company is transparent enough about releasing a game without all of its content up and ready then the decision entirely comes down to the consumer, and it's also the consumer's fault if they're too stupid to look up the dev's own website and read up on games they're about to invest money in.
not to mention all the missing features that were promised such as...? a shitty singleplayer campaign ala patriots/vegas?
Who the hell wants a shitty poorly written single player campaign when you can have the core multiplayer experience with bots?
like jesus battlefield come on even COD has bots.

I don't think he was saying it's always a bad thing, just like with smaller early access games.
but hes p much wrong
10 maps with day and night variations on release with at least 4 new ones through dlc, most fps games release with 6 maps anyway
I don't think he's putting games with just DLC in this list, though. Yeah, Siege does have more content than most other multiplayer fps games, but they were still weren't finished with the game at release. That doesn't mean it's bad, though.
Still, lumping it together with Battlefront is silly.
jim sterling is a fucking hack, this has been known for awhile now. the dude plays it so safe its unbelievable, "yeah battlefront sucks guys!!!" we know jim, everyone else already said it.

Siege has had other glaring problems, most notably its really funky netcode (that still isnt really fixed) and its multitude of animation and character model de-sync issues that are basically unacceptable in a game that's trying to spring for e-sports.
I play the game regularly, and getting headshots feels more like rolling the dice and hoping the netcode doesnt fuck you and that your rng spray pattern manages to dink him.
But the fuck konami segment isn't even their fault this time. Japan is making stricter laws on ALL digital currencies, which includes MGO.

As someone who personally loves Siege, he has a point.
Matchmaking used to be a total mess, there are only a handful of maps, the "free" operators release at a credit cost of 25K which translates to $5 EACH (which is a huge spike from the maximum cost of 2500(?) per), ranked is hardly different from casual and there are tons of bugs and exploits that have not been fixed. For example, since release if you're close to a wall enemies can see your gun poking through and kill you. Which is ridiculous considering they want to start a pro-league for the game; CS:GO has it figured out.
