Modest Mouse has got to be one of my most favorite bands of all time. They are so much more talented than what they are known for (Float On and Dashboard). Their vocalist, Isaac Brock has got to be one of my favorite
song writers out there right now.I find his lyrics are very thoughtful and deep.I was just wondering who else was into them or what you think about them. I also love there range of attitude. They can manage to have great peaceful,melodic songs to powerful and anger filled songs.

I LOVE modest mouse. I think missed the boat has gotta be my favorite by them cause it was in scrubs, or maybe satin in a coffin, but I also love dance hall and spitting venom. They're so good.
Building Something Out of Nothing is my favourite one. Not a lot of people seem to mention it. It's a compilation of outtakes and b-sides but it all holds together really well and it has some of their most heartbreaking songs and some great jams.

The Lonesome Crowded West is one of the best things about my early teenage years
yo I hate to be "that guy" but honestly the only albums i really enjoy from modest mouse are moon & anartica and lonesome crowded west and a few other songs from other albums. otherwise, everything after m&a is hot garbage. i'll eventually listen to this is a long drive.
yea I'm one of those guys too, the pre-major label stuff and to a lesser extent Moon and Antarctica are good and then they got kinda boring
