My fear of backmasked(backwards) songs that have messages- How do I get over it? - General

This isn't meant to be in the music section, it's about my fear of back-masked songs rather then the research of it. If there's one thing I fear its back-masked songs that have messages. For those of you who don't know what I mean it is basically well, ever seen Little Nicky? [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJxSP3LC9BA[/media] Basically that is what back-masking is, playing a song backwards in order to find messages. Now before you call me a pro-religious idiot that thinks The Beatles and KISS are satanic, I want you to know I don't think this. This is the shit that keeps me up at night just because the very thought of it. And if you still don't what I'm talking about or want more of an example then here: [b]Songs with "messages":[/b] Stairway to Heaven Revolution 9 I'm only posting those two because the very action of googleing more songs like this creep me out like shit. So facepunch how can I get over this fear?

It's just the lyrics of a song. Nothing can hurt you. Think of the publicity that these songs get because they have these backwards messages. Stairway to Heaven I can barely understand it backwards. I think this is mostly that it sounds a little like words, and if you put the reverse lyrics in front of the listener they think it actually sounds like the lyrics. Like a placebo effect almost.

Think of it as a Rorschach test; what you see (or in this case hear) is all opinionated. You may hear one thing, while I hear something totally different. When there are "lyrics" involved, your mind is so involved on hearing those lyrics it will fool it's self into thinking that that is what it heard.

Stairway to heaven is weird backwards.

There is nothing in any song backwards but a scramble of nothingness. If someone writes it in subtitles, then you start hearing things.

most artists and almost all the popular ones put backwards lyrics into their songs just to screw around. theyre not trying or meant to mess with peoples heads or subconscious.
