I'm planning on building a bass. I need a good neck and some pickup suggestions. I plan on building a 6-string to compliment my 4-string. looking to spend around 100$.
100$ to build a bass from scratch? The pickups would probably cost more than that, man.
I mean't 100$ for a neck, sorry I didn't clarify that.
that's still on the cheap side. you're looking to spend something like $250 for just the neck if you don't make it yourself.
warmoth.com has pretty cheap fully customizable necks. not for 100 dollars though
For pickups I would say go Seymour Duncan, they've got a nice bright Fender tone. For a neck you should check out Warmoth, you may have to spend a little more though. If your looking for cheaper necks there's a company that makes Fender replacement necks for about $100 called "Might Mite" I believe. For a Bridge go with a bad ass bridge II, very very nice bridge.
I may just end up making a neck, I can't decide. Most tutorials on guitar and bass building use pre built necks.

Also, yes get a Might Mite if $100 is your spending range. You'll blow your money but you'll have a decent neck in either maple or rosewood (fretboard).
