what is diplomacy
Watched about half. Damn that's insane.
I'll watch a lot of shit, including hour long diatribes by Noah Caldwell-Gervais
but you're gonna have to be more precise than just dropping a random 2 hour multiplayer session from twitch with minimal context

I've seen this video before. Without spoiling the entire video, and assuming you have an idea what Age of Empires is, this is a 3 vs 3 game, but teams are unlocked so they can break and/or make alliances on their own free will. It also has Allied Victory off, which means that despite being a team game, only one player can win. This is a really good game to watch if you like AoE2 despite it not being a "serious" match.
It doesn't get that interesting until about 50 minutes in. Then shit starts going down.
Saw this video long ago, it's hilarious how much it goes back and forth and how many things they try to break the stalemate.
Also, Klaymen MVP.

Perfect, exactly what I needed to hear, now I'm excited to watch it!
It's one of the best matches of AOE2 ever played. Ever.
Klaymen47 is the GOAT.
Castor could have went in for the flank demo ships to get Sheep the relic win but he left him high and dry to save his own ass, that bastard

As said before, no allied victory, there can be only one winner, the game was planned for the teams to be a bit more careful and ready to backstab each-other when the opposing team was weakened.

Here's a fun fact though, Klaymen recently made a video to welcome ZeroEmpires back after his break from AOE content.

Last man standing is annoying too play as the games either desync or players just leave after victory.
I love watching RTS matches, they can be quite bonkers sometimes. Especially when they go on way past endgame and end up in a ridiculous post-apoc situation where every kill counts.

I started watching these a few months ago after me and my friends had a brief stint in AOE2. I learned why it's better than 3 competitively speaking, and that's when I found The Viper.
The dude is able to micromanage troops in nearly superhuman fashion, though, I agree that this video isn't the best introduction to watching this kind of thing. There are others where he goes 2v1 or 3v1 and wins. It's just gross.
