One thing I have noticed recently, is that many forum posts have been put into the wrong section. It's kind of frustrating to be going to browse the general section, then what I mostly see are things that should be put into the damned "Furry" sub-forum. It's just kind of annoying for normal FacePunch-ers to run into some furry or furry thread that contains frustratingly stupid problems or just plain disgusting topics. Not trying to start some shit-storm, but I'm getting kind of frustrated with the General Discussion section being overridden with TONS of furry-related threads.
Not trolling, just speaking my opinion on some of these threads that shouldn't be here.
I think this should be in technical support.
HUEHUEHUEHUE
because most people are idiots

Good one.
It's general ignorance of the boards. I think mods should step up banning for this. It isn't that hard to put a thread titled 'Call of duty' in the Games section.
because most people are idiots
Ain't that the truth with SOME people.

Personally, I think banning is just a BIT harsh. I think they should be disallowed to make new threads, but not comment on them.
amusingly enough, this is a fast thread
amusingly enough, this is a fast thread
Always wondered, but what EXACTLY is a FT?
Yeah, I think banning peoples a bit harsh. Maybe if there was some kind of system that someone needed x number of posts to make a new thread or something like that
Yeah, I think banning peoples a bit harsh. Maybe if there was some kind of system that someone needed x number of posts to make a new thread or something like that
Makes sense. If a troll keeps trolling, just make it unable to post. What ever happened to the "BAN" forum?
What's so hard about ignoring a few seconds of your life
amusingly enough, this is a fast thread
No it's not.
I don't really see alot of threads being misplaced, maybe one or two, but they usually die out and fall off the front page quickly.
You could always ignore it, isn't hard really...
Yeah, I think banning peoples a bit harsh. Maybe if there was some kind of system that someone needed x number of posts to make a new thread or something like that
We used to have that, 50 posts till you can make a thread.
All it did was make trolls spam and then make the thread.

could make spam a bannable offense.
isn't it already?

no it isn't
You could always ignore it, isn't hard really...
Yeah.
no it isn't
Thanks. :downs:
I don't mind porn threads, spam threads, warez threads, fast threads, post your threads, masturbation story threads, school threads, homosexual love threads, threads about dead relatives or indeed threads about toothpaste, but if I see a goddamn furry thread, I am going to shoot someone.
The thing is the fucking new members mistake bans for permanent bans and bitch about the whole system being unfair when they are making it more unfair for the people who understand how it works, letting trolls slip in here and there.
I see alot of shit replies that go unbanned, despite reporting them for flaming none of them are banned. I see threads like the "I heard my parents fucking" and somebody posted "you should have sex with your dad" or "join in" and people just act like it's a perfectly normal poster. Pretty shoddy example I know.
Also there's been a increase in "I posted this here because the place that I know to post it in doesn't get enough attention so I'm posting this here knowing I'm not too" they have adapted to the reason that the mods have softened up and don't ban that much. Sigh, if only I was a mod, people would declare me the child of old fp. Bans are a rarity now.

There's a difference between making a witty remark and trolling.
Doug bans are actually the only bans I really see if ever. There are the perms here and there for a bad troll or bot but that's it.
[editline]06:15AM[/editline]
I don't think something that is constantly posted, and posted maybe 3 seconds after the thread was made is considered witty.
Yeah, I think banning peoples a bit harsh.
That's how Facepunch works
Take note that guy is brand spanking new so he doesn't understand.
I think search should be put back, it'd probably eliminate a good amount of reposts
Odd, it was back for a while, when did it go offline?

You've been here since 08 you should know by now that when people are going "HURR U SHUD JOIN IN W/ UR PARENTS" that it's a joke.

Don't shoot, they come back in numbers. Burn them w/ fire, or just "Yiff in hell, furfags!"
Put this thread in the furry section.

Look at the sticky and then what kind of threads the red ones are.

Just as an example of what people do.
You're not gonna be able to do anything about it.
