I thought I saw this before. I was right.
Posted at 06:00 AM ET, 07/09/2012
Yes, because the current system over there apparently focusing on critical thinking produces critically thinking, capable people alright :v:
So... stop making our children smart, we want dumb sheep that don't question us.
Instantly thought of this
Traditional Principles in Education – We support school subjects with emphasis on the Judeo-Christian principles upon which America was founded and which form the basis of America’s legal, political and economic systems. We support curricula that are heavily weighted on original founding documents, including the Founders’ writings.
looks like their school's curricula wasn't heavily weighted on the founder's writings
"We oppose the student's freedom of thought, because thoughts that differ from our own scare us."
I'm a moderate, but it's so hard to not hate the GOP for everything they do when they say things like this. [sp]Yeah, there are dumb liberals out there too. They just say less-dumb things than advocating teaching our children to be stupid.[/sp]
The majority of voters in Texas are actually democrats. Republicans keep getting elected because the state is being completely fucked in the ass by gerrymandering.

I assume not because you're horribly wrong. In the last election, somewhere around 97% of the counties in Texas were landslide Republican wins, with the only Democrat strongholds being Travis county (obvious), some parts of South Texas near Brownsville and a tiny part of Dallas County. Travis county is mostly Democrat due to the large African American population on the east side and the rather large LBGT community in Central and north Central Travis County.

Most Texans are either right-leaning moderates or Republicans. [editline]26th January 2013[/editline] Maybe border towns, they have a somewhat high number of Libby voters.

The rural areas and outer urban metropolitan areas voted Republican. Big cities in general tend to be more liberal, while rural areas tend to be more traditional and conservative. Texas is mostly rural/low density urban so that shouldn't be a big surprise.
"Ah! 'dem studens' are thinkin' agin'! Help us!" "RAWR! EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE EQUAL RIGHTS!" "Argh!... He got me in the leg!... Looks like 'dis gon' be mah grave... Goodbye Elvira..." *more thinking*
Remember kids, never question authority!
How do these people even fucking breathe?
