To be honest I was waiting for the [sp]fnaf[/sp]part to happen and it didn't disappoint.
Regardless of how many views fnaf animations get, I refuse to stoop as low as to making one myself.
Reminds me of:

I recommend his other videos, they're amasing.
I was expecting MLP at first, close enough.

Basically, just enter a popular thing with a shitty fanbase where fnaf is and it is still accurate.
If I could animate I would totally make generic action videos in SFM. It just requires effort so that will probably never happen.
It just requires effort
If you say so
If you say so
Please make a generic action movie in sfm for me if it doesn't require effort.
Please make a generic action movie in sfm for me if it doesn't require effort.
Nah, that's too much effort
Every day a little bit of me dies when I look at a high quality SFM video like so and then some random FNaF video with 20 times the amount it deserves.
I seriously doubt animating in SFM because of these reasons sometimes. :dead:
I won't become part of the cancer, damn it!
To be honest, the appeal of theme and narrative are more important than quality.
I'd rather watch a mediocre piece of a thing I'm interested in than an amazing one of a thing I don't care about.
For example there's nothing really interesting or relatable to me in the cops vs criminals action shootout so I wouldn't watch it no matter how good it was.

Well ofcourse not, but if it had a good story and narrative behind it, wouldn't it compel you to watch it?
I was expecting "Fuck it, just make porn instead"
Well ofcourse not, but if it had a good story and narrative behind it, wouldn't it compel you to watch it?
Very well might not. There's a myriad of high quality stuff of all kinds out there, but a relatively narrow slice relevant to my interests, and worth my time as such.
Imo to make matters worse, when FNAF models are used, other models are forgotten. "Oh your gun model looks amazing! BUT THAT TOY CHICA THOUGH!!" It's like people who port models not related to FNAF are just downloaded and then put on a metaphorical shelf. I'm just wishing for the day that someone uses my assets in a video one day not because of the effort needed, but because time is precious for a college kid like me.
I don't think there's a FNAF vid as high as a community-made non-Saxxy TF2 vid
High as in quality? If so, look no further.
Doesn't change the fact how overly saturated SFM is with anything FNaF related, but there's atleast a rare minority willing to put effort into their work. Funny how DPF couldn't agree more with this video.

I can definitely relate. Spend a week on something stupid, 200,000 views. Spend 3.5 months working on something else and it barely gets a few thousand.
People get paid for making SFM porn.
I think someone is making more than $1,000 on it.
More than one.

Actually pretty well animated and terrifying, though that's the Chuck E' Cheese's nightmares talking.

If I knew that messing around with the pevic bones in a 3D program would net me a thousand bucks, shit I'd jump in too!
Makes me wonder if there are people out there willing to animate projects for you. Sure it might be expensive as fuck despite on a old game engine and having someone do the job sounds like a shifty collab controversy waiting to happen, but at least you could get shit done the way you want it with a bit of time to yourself.

I'm pulling just shy of $2000/mo on Patreon. I do a lot more than just animations, though, and most people seem to support me for my model work.
Then you have collaborations like StudioFow, who focus on making rape porn, pulling over $10000/mo. :v:

It's a lot more than just moving pelvic bones around, but thanks for trivializing the work I put into my animations.

How chilling.
But this is porn we're talking about, so that's understandable... i think.

Now that's just uncalled for. Just because you don't agree with the subject, doesn't mean it takes no effort to make it. I'd say that making SFM porn might even be harder than other animations, because you have to make it look sexy, which is probably not easy when working with 3d models.

Gotta move the dick bone and breast bone. DONE!
Right now the appeal of SFM is the ability for people to do fan animations for whatever is "In" at the moment. In the past it was Fnaf and to some extent Undertale. In the next few months it's going to be Overwatch.
Unfortunately for Youtube the name of the game seems to be quantity over quality. You can work on a project for months and a few thousand will give a shit where as some guy who pumps out game of the month projects will get all the views because that's whats in demand. And in the age of ADHD instant gratification and irony the shorter your videos are the easiest it will be for most people to digest.
Its unfortunate, but the best way to get your effort noticed these days is in porn. This is the only place where production quality and attention to detail is rewarded. There will never be an end to demand for porn. Hell, combine porn with Overwatch and you'll be the king of SFM in the next few months. I guarantee it.

It was a joke man. I got no plans to do that sort of thing. I'd rather be mini-Guillermo del Toro post-Pacific Rim. Then again, time is little for me. It's great that you can get to make money on this though.

Nobodys going to be doing anything with Overwatch, all the models are getting taken down
