• Weight lifting gloves?
    11 replies, posted
So I've started working out and holding the heavier dumbbells and such give me hard callouses. So from what I read, gloves are generally beneficial when lifting. Only problem is, I'm not sure of what to get since people use gloves from biking to actual lifting gloves. If anyone can post a link to a good pair that'll be good. One from amazon is better since I have gift card money there.
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/gloves.html This site says Harbinger and Valeo Ocelot are in the best selling. I searched for both on amazon Harbinger http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Harbinger+Power+Gloves&x=0&y=0 Valeo Ocelot http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_3_27?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=valeo+ocelot+lifting+gloves&x=0&y=0&sprefix=valeo+ocelot+lifting+gloves Prices vary.
Towel / chalk. Fix form, try at least.
eat some concrete ya big bitch, callouses will make dudes think twice about fucking with you because they know you either A) lift some heavy shit or B) you jerk off with sandpaper, and they aren't going to take the risk incase u are B [editline]14th July 2011[/editline] in all srsness if you are lifting anything less than impressive and/or are small as shit, gloves are just going to make you a quiet source of laughter for the gym rats.
90% of people in my gym wear gloves (including me) come at me phaggots
That's stupid to use those as putting them increases the thickness between your fingers and the bar. By thus, creating more difficulty holding the bar, increasing the load and of course the callouses. Just use a towel mofo.
callouses are great man its like a perm pair of gloves cept it aint gloves
yeah ima bring my bright blue towel to the gym for benching bertstares guaranteed
It's what you think that matters. Stop being a child. And, wtf? for benching? you have calluses from benching??? and only one, blue towel? ????
I Don't understand how you could get callouses from benching, callouses and blisters are the result of rubbing against your skin and when you have a loaded bar pressing down on your hands it's not going to move or rub against them or anything
calm the fuk down i posted that as an example i only get calluses from DLing because my fingers are unprotected
