Pretty much what the thread title says... but let me elaborate a little bit more.
I've always been the loner kind of guy, surrounded by very few people I'd always consider "acquaintances" but none I could really call a friend, since I think I'd consider somebody my friend if they share at least 98% of my interests (I have pretty high standards regarding friendship).
Every now and then, I have my moments where I'd come out of the dark corner and I have a good time talking with people, and making people laugh, but lately I noticed I'm feeling in the mood to interact with people more.
I get along with my coworkers and many people I have to see everyday great, and lately I feel like engaging in conversation with just about anybody...I'm beginning to start conversations with people I barely know (that is; my gf's friends and acquaintances, for instance).
Now my gf is dragging me to some birthday party at some night club with some "friends" and stuff, and I really excited... I'm going with her because I'm her boyfriend and I have to keep an eye on her, but also to socialize...
The usual "routine" when we go out, is: She's dancing and having a blast with her friends, and I'm sitting on the other side of the bar/pub/whatever, hitting up conversations with other dudes
It's not that I like the way I am, or that I love people (well... err I do) or anything, it's just that I couldn't resist caring about people... I mean, I really feel like talking to people, or meeting new people... and even though I'm totally aware of that, I'm ok with it.
Another thing that I'm doing a lot lately is that I don't watch my mouth... for instance, a few months ago I'd be quieter and a man of few words, now little by little I don't give a shit and be myself, and talk a lot...
Dunno guys... I think I might be getting a life
