Selected a two great videos showing some of the combat skillsets RMC's learn during their intense training: Violent entry/CQB: Assault/Final Exercise:
Wow professional, that is some hot shit right there. I like how it took the soldiers two full seconds to react to the massive spate of gunfire that would have no doubt killed half the squad in the first video. Oo-rah, my testicles are shrinking as I type.

I'm being serious, and as you can tell I wasn't all that impressed with how the operation went over. The Royal Marines is a state of mind indeed it seems. It doesn't look professional or even particularity competent at all. Though the close-in wasn't bad.

It's their basic training, these aren't full blown Royal Marines with a year of reinforcement training under their belts. I could post some US Army and/or USMC videos from full fledged units that are abysmal. And I do mean abysmal. At any rate, I only posted them because they were cool, somewhat good quality videos that can give people an idea of what infantry training can look like. Dem brits get my respect that they manage to fit combat skills into their first training cycle. Most Militaries won't even touch anything regarding tactics/combat until employment specific training.

Glad to hear that, professional. It might be entertaining to watch serious hardcore marines fucking up. Maybe it'd give a little sense of perspective. And that's infantry training eh? Another reason for me to not to sign up, in addition to the type of guy in your avatar. Also, Satan, that is awesome. Sad to know that that was actually how war was conducted in the days of yore.
I can't understand what they're saying :S It's like "ROOM CLEAR, ONE REDLUBLEGDUBAG WHADIQUDAHUIBNAAN!!!"
I can't understand what they're saying :S It's like "ROOM CLEAR, ONE REDLUBLEGDUBAG WHADIQUDAHUIBNAAN!!!"
Once I got to that part I was like, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SAYING. ... I almost thought he could hear me :<

He'll get through no doubt. I was interested in joining but it just isn't for me. The Army is for me I think. Nice to know that someone actually knows who the RM actually are too.

I know it's basic training and all, but they don't look at all competent.
Ever hear about that Iranian embassy in England way back then? 'nough said.
Yeah i'm not a moron who bases his entire knowledge off video games. SAS are the real hard men of the special forces, probably the most well known and for good fucking reason.
Yeah i'm not a moron who bases his entire knowledge off video games. SAS are the real hard men of the special forces, probably the most well known and for good fucking reason.
damn straight.
Funny thing is, by the SAS's own admittance, there were ALOT of things that went wrong with the Iranian embassy assault, still they adapted and overcame. Obviously nowadays the techniques, procedures and planning are improved.
no guis 1 time i saw spetsnaz on ultimate warrior and he killed all the gren bareys so obviusly there the best :v:

I thought he ment the Russian Royal Marines, like until halfway through the second video did I realise they spoke english. How the fuck can you understand half of it?

Only about 2/3rds into the full training it's self. These people captured in these videos havn't earned their beret's yet and are still wearing craphats.

Go get em' Lads!
He said, "ROOM CLEAR, ONE WINDOW DIRECTLY FRONT, ONE ESPCAPE ROUTE GOING DOWN."
Ah, I suppose that would make sense. But it still sounds like he's talking in French or something to me. He really mangled his pronunciation.
