A fraud squad investigation has revealed that 14 of 15 supposed real estate acquisitions made by Al-Watan, a company run by pro-settlement activist Ze’ev Hever and owned by the right wing Amana, were forged.
Details of the West Bank forgery industry were broadcast on Tuesday in an investigative report on the Channel 10 program HaMakor with Raviv Drucker.
A police investigation that was opened in the case ended, and the case was transferred to the state prosecutor. The police did not interrogate Hever, but by questioning a chain of straw men it emerged that 14 of the 15 supposed deals were forged.
An investigative report by Raviv Drucker documents two Palestinians who acted as straw men for Al-Watan. The straw men would buy the lands from people using forged documents purpoting to be those of the real landowners (many of whom are no longer alive) and then transfer them to Amana in a fake deal.
What a shock.

What, that the Israeli police investigated bogus settler land buys? That the Israeli government is going to prosecute them? That the story was broken by an Israeli news channel? Or the fact that the military usually doesn't let settlers move into "purchased" land anyway or evicts them if they move in because of security concerns?

Stereotypes being stereotypes.
Scum. But guess who's going to get prosecuted!?

Obviously the Palestinians are responsible.
Could someone with a subscription to this paper copy and paste the article? I can't see the actual article since it's behind a paywall

I don't see it in the Hebrew version of Haaretz either. Maybe the Channel 10 article didn't go live yet.
Anyway, this RT item quotes Haaretz:

An investigative report by Channel 10, as cited by Haaretz claimed that officials from Al-Watan, a company run by Zeev Hever, who has been a key figure in the Israeli settlement movement, were responsible for the forged deals.
Al-Watan is a firm that operates under Amana, a settlement-building arm of the right-wing activist movement Gush Emunim.
The investigation alleges that officials from Al-Watan would state they had purchased land from the owners who were Palestinian. However, the documents would more often than not prove to have been forged.

So an Israeli company, run by Israeli Jews that uses Palestinian strawmen to buy propery illegaly, then fucks over the strawmen too.

I don't know. I guess we'll have to wait and see, won't we?
