I've been following this game's development recently and am hyped to see if it turns out good.
been watching this since early development, I'd be happy to back it if I had the money
Yessss
Time to punch all the things
Looks fresh!
Oh yes! I was waiting for this to hit Kickstarter! It looks so charming and fun. I hope development goes well.
My spacebar is getting obliterated. I'm glad to see they added options to tone down bobbling for the motion-sick prone.
FIGHT KNIGHT as a character has his origins in our late nights spent sitting on a couch, playing 2011's Dark Souls. We'd take turns invading other players' worlds, with no armor or weapon save for a helmet and our fists.
:v:
I love it.
It's the Dark Souls of Doom-like dungeon brawlers, basically pixel-art Skyrim with fists.
HAND-CRAFTED LEVELS - Thoughtfully created levels full of puzzles that are designed to take FIGHT KNIGHT's unique fisty capabilities into account
Dodged a bullet here, looked like something that could "benefit" with proceduraly generated levels.
I can't wait to fist things hard.
demo is fun as hell, just backed it.
Love the art style, music and lots of personality. Already reached the goal, really can't wait to see more.
Wrapped up the demo. I'm fucking hyped.
My only issue is the difficulty curves are weird. Armored Skellies do me in and I had issues with the Minotaur, but the second boss and desert area was smooth sailing.
after finishing the demo, i kicked my backing up from the lowest tier to the highest tier. t-shirt hype.

It's much more King's Field than Doom or Hexen. If I had to describe it, I'd say it's GODHAND by way of Legend of Grimrock.

I'm glad I went for the middle tier, I want that soundtrack.
Wait there's a demo???
I'm actually surprised :v:
wow a videogame made me laugh
This is how you do a Kickstarter right.
Risks and challenges
Short of traumatic injury or death due to the inherent danger of mortal existence, there isn't much we foresee that could cause us not to finish FIGHT KNIGHT. The game is in motion. There is no question at this point of if we're capable of pulling off any essential element of the game, the foundational structures are in place. All that's left to do is produce content in the form of assets and levels and enemies and so on. Even if this Kickstarter fails to reach its goal, the game will still be made, just on a longer timescale. Assuming we DO get funded, The largest risk is that the game could be completed in late 2018/2019 instead of early 2018.
Because almost all of our rewards will be delivered digitally, there is little reason to worry about anything on a logistical level other than the T-shirts, which will be handled with particular care and expertise. Our Zeke is well acquainted with handling shirt printing, and we already have a retailer who can produce what we need to make it happen.
instead of giving a bullshit, meaningless, effortless justification that is "No risks nah no risks at all!" they actually speak with real confidence about this and I like that
The kickstarter isn't the sole thing they rely on. Some games rely 100% on crowd funds and that's just too risky, but this will be made regardless.
Fist of the north crusade•
Love the dither effect. Try all three sizes!
Also this is definitely played best with a controller, for the fastest ORAORAORAs.
It hit 30k of its original 13k goal. In two days. I can only fathom what it'll be like by the end.
It's like a dungeon-crawling Punch-Out, fucking ace
I'd love to see this on the Switch at some point.
I love how you trade with people by pointing at something and punching them
protagonist is a mound maker lmao

The artstyle is pretty great, it reminds me of arena and daggerfall if they had a color filter induced by drug use
