According to Bubblenews, Bethesda teased a few members of the press at E3 with an early look at the fourth entry in its highly regarded open-world post-apocalyptic RPG series. A 37-second trailer was reportedly shown, revealing that the game will primarily take place in Boston. The game will supposedly be unveiled some time before E3 next year, with a launch expected sometime during the Fall of 2015. In addition, Fallout 4 is said to be coming to a whole bunch of platforms, including PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, and PS3.,

> Fallout 4 has been in development since January 2011 by a small team, as the majority were working on Skyrim.
> As of February 2013, the team working on Fallout 4 is the size of the team which was working on Skyrim. This is due to Skyrim development ending.
> As it stands now, Fallout 4 will release on Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. However, this is still subject to change.
> The actual announcement for Fallout 4 will come BEFORE E3 2014, but will NOT launch in 2014.
> The expected launch is in October 2015.
> The game is (as of June 2013) 55% complete, consequently, voice actors will be hired towards the end of 2014.
> There is no planned multi-player, but there is a possibility of Co-Op locally.
> The game will take place in Somerville, Cambridge, Arlington (and surrounding areas). The main setting is in a Post-Apocalyptic Boston. However, this area will not be immediately accessible.
> The story is not clear, however, Vaults exist.
> The 37 second trailor starts starts with a half-broken phone sparking. The scene pulls out slowly with the stereotypical music you would hear. Slowly you work out the scene is pulling out of a belltower. As it pulls further out, you see a destroyed town around. This is Boston. Suddenly, you hear the bell chime loudly, and the screen changes black instantly. The words of Ron Pearlman are heard "War... War never changes...". The logo for Fallout 4 appears with the 5 platforms above listed.
Aside from all the rumours, this is the only confirmed news. It just looks like we have another 2 years before we'll be able to play the game.
Skyrim with guns.
Sounds too good to be true.
Let's hope they say 'Damn the sequence, give it to Obsidian."
Great, now I have two years to anticipate this. Why couldn't we find out a bit later?
I would be interested if they hired a way larger cast of voice actors, and they completely fucking stripped any connection of Gamebyro from their new engine. I want to see some believable NPC interaction, I want to see animations that aren't fucking terrible, I want to play gun combat that doesn't feel stiff and tacked on. I just can't the stand the way Oblivion/Fallout3/Skyrim felt. Everything just feels so unpolished, stiff, and lifeless. The boring gameplay also didn't help either.
Given this is true I really hope they ditch gamebryo.
still a rumor though I want it to be true
hopefully wont be shit like skyrim
Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3
Great
Unless they either make two separate versions (lol yea right), or can the 360 and PS3 versions, it's gonna be underwhelming.

they didn't ditch it with skyrim, why would they ditch it now
SPECIAL is replaced with perks, and now you have radiation shouts
Goddamn it. Fallout in Boston sounds boring. I don't want Bethesda even touching the Fallout series. Leave it to Obsidian.
My hype won't start until I get a trailer.
Hate hearing news like this sooooo fuckin early. I have to forget.

holy shit, I knew it'd take place in the commonwealth
if this is true, this is awesome
Goddamn it. Fallout in Boston sounds boring. I don't want Bethesda even touching the Fallout series. Leave it to Obsidian.
It was honestly kind of expected. They already have a bit to work with in Massachusetts after the references to the Institute in Fallout 3.
Why are y'all saying Skyrim was shit, exactly?

Do we really have to write an essay on why Skyrim was shit? I mean it's been discussed before a million times and it requires a lot of detail to go into.
The most simple I can put it is: Shit engine, basically a polished turd. Really disappointing design decisions. Not much creative juice put into the game, just the same dungeon designs over and over with the same enemies. Extremely shallow and short minded grinding. A bare bones experience.
Of course I can go deeper, I also didn't like Oblivion or Fallout 3 either despite those games at least having some more juice to them. A lot of my gripes comes from the large lack of polish in Bethesda games and the large lack of interesting gameplay to accompany the exploration and adventure.
I will admit though that Fallout: NV makes up for a lot of that with just it's creativity and interesting stuff put into it, but I still can't enjoy it because of the engine.

most boring piece of underwhelming shit i ever had the misfortune of playing. cant even kill all the npcs, and they level up with you. boring quests, it just sucks ass
if you like skyrim, you're probably a fucking idiot

Fuck yes Boston.

Nah, even Bethesda said how the 360/PS3 struggled with their games. They wouldn't fuck us that hard.

A summary would be nice.
Really like a Resource Wars game. Britain/Europe setting would be nice, just to make a change.
Not sure how this will turn out.
Still, I'm more excited about a Bethesda Fallout game then another Elder Scrolls; ideally someone else (Cough, Obsidian) would make it.
I'm gonna be 20 when this game comes out
fuck

LOL
PLEASE be joking
did you actually play the game or are you just making shit up? because that's a lie. Even if dungeons can get repetitive, they weren't all just auto generated out of random. That's bullshit, and you know it.

and it better be gameplay trailer too

When you put it that way....
Pretty sure I saw a source confirming this as fake, but don't have it right now. I'll dig it up when I can and post it here.
Also to tip you off this is fake anyway, it doesn't make too much sense to release a late 2015 game for the 360 and PS3.
Especially a game by a western dev.
