video explains alot... lol
but ive seen far too many matches in UFC that borderline on brutality for the fighter.
MMA fighters get paid no where near as much as boxers.
UFC's groundfighting gets to be lame... at best. There's still art in regards to fighting on the ground but, its boring
plus... boxing is all American.... Goddamnit!
Lol at ground fighting being lame, I'm an ex boxer and I'm all for MMA(UFC) IMO it's more intense and keeps you on the edge of your seat and you have to know whats going on when they're grappling to appreciate it. Since when is boxing more american than wrestling or some other disciplines used in MMA?
Boxing all the way
I agree that sometimes ground fighting can be "lame" just like how a boxing match could be "lame" when the fighters aren't going for a finish, But viewers are becoming more knowledgeable of the ground game and are showing respect for it instead of just booing. The first UFC showed that pure grappling reigned supreme over all the other pure disciplines even when the guy was 60-100 pounds lighter than his opponent
There is a reason that boxing is dying and MMA is growing

kinda agree with the kubrik guy....
Boxing is dead.
The boxers call too much of the shots just look at Floyd Mayweather, he can draw a massive gate but theirs no competition when he gets to chose his opponent.
Also there is way too many belts that they all become worthless.
Dumping gifs in support of the UFC.

Oh sorry just thought I'd remind the boxing fans of what a KO looks like.
UFC isn't a sport!
I like UFC way more than boxing. But I watch boxing when Manny pacquiao fights, since my family gets all pumped up for it just because the guy is Filipino as well.
UFC all the way. Fights are more intense when there's more than hands being used. You could take ANY top boxer and place him in a ring with decent UFC fighter, not even necessarily in the same class and watch his ass get handed to him.
Sorry this thread is full of dumbassery

"ye lebron james would own them soccer fags in a game of basketball"
Well no shit. You place any of MMA's top ten atm the moment in with a elite level boxer in a boxing match and they will get their ass handed to them. They are two different games and comparing them like that is retarded.

Sorry boxing is far from dead and anyone who thinks this is true is retarded. The problem with boxing at the moment is it's at its lowest point in history across the board, in no small part to the problems you mentioned. But it's far from dead. MMA will go through the exact same shit. This next half decade or so is going to be the golden era and then it's going to hit a wall and it will become largely business driven and suffer the same problems boxing has.
fucking automerge where you at
Yeah know what I'm saying brah gay as shit

I pretty much agree with what you said aside from this part.
Boxing is used in MMA by some fighters, but obviously you can't use any other discipline while boxing.
It's kind of like comparing football and the 100m dash. Two completely different things as a whole, but raw speed is a part of football. Might not make up much of football, but it's a part of it. The type of sprinting is different, but it wouldn't take long to refine it for whichever sport you want to.
Some football players might do well in the 100m dash, even at olympic levels. Some olympic sprinters do well in football, but they have to learn an entire new set of techniques and abilities.
Plenty of MMA guys could do well in boxing with refinement in their technique. A boxer could do well in MMA, but they'd need to learn a lot of new techniques completely different from boxing in order to do so.

Also, I get really tired of people calling UFC a sport. It's like calling the NFL a sport. MMA is the name of the sport, UFC is just the most popular organization for it right now.
well someone gave me an optimistic vote and thats all i need damnit
Boxing.
What about kickboxing? K-1 anyone? Anyway, I enjoy both. Both can be boring. It does get boring when a wrestling just lays n prays but if there is some serious jiujitsu/wrestling going on, it can be entertaining. If you done any sorta ground work before, you really learn to appreciate ground game in the UFC.

K1 MAX fucking owned, but now the 3 main superstars of MAX (Masato, Buakaw Por Pramuk, Andy Souwer) are all pissing around. Don't even talk about Ptreyosan, he can suck a dick.
Masato retired, Buakaw is fucking around and keeps jumping between organizations and back to FTR (full thai rules), and Souwer is also org jumping.
as for K1 (heavyweights), sigh. I miss the K1 from the golden era of 90s to early 2000s. Back when you had Ernesto Hoost, Andy Hug, Cro Cop, Aerts, and Sefo waging war on one another. K1 now isn't bad, but i just miss those days is all. It just doesn't have the same feeling.
lol! only 1 optimistic???? damn!
