First weapon skins, stickers, sprays (for some reason), and now gloves. When will it end???
I'm waiting for customisable hairstyles
I'm waiting for customisable hairstyles
customizable helmet skins/bandanas
Customizable voices/noises and uniforms.
Customizable toenail polish Some terrorists just want to feel pretty
I won't be satisfied until I can pay $1.99 to give my CTs a tramp stamp
Customizable toenail polish Some terrorists just want to feel pretty
I'd pay fuckin' big bucks if they let me run around barefoot with toenail polish.
Customizable voices/noises and uniforms.
I read this as "customizable voices/noses". Can you even imagine looking at someone's inventory and just seeing a whole bunch of individual body part items? :what:
First weapon skins, stickers, sprays (for some reason), and now gloves. When will it end???
It'll never end because people won't stop spending money on aesthetic garbage, even though everyone used to get all this shit for free. Welcome to the new era of gaming.

Welcome to the new era of gaming.
Micro-transactions really ruined CS for me. I've completely stopped playing CSGO as there is more focus on making money than there is on having a real community. I loved the good old days of 1.5,6 and source when I could download truly superb skins from fpsbanana that had custom models, textures, sounds, and animations that were better than Valve's. Valve is the epitome of "NO FUN ALLOWED", except it should say "NO UNPAID FUN ALLOWED".

Welcome to the new era of gaming.
To be perfectly honest with you, there's nothing wrong with cosmetic DLC in of itself but there's plenty wrong with Valve's specific implementation of it. Whole point of cosmetic DLC that DIY cosmetic mods couldn't accomplish is that everyone gets to see it. That kind of vanity market is fucking huge and a really good way for a developer to make loads of money on essentially harmless content, which (ideally) means more free content on other aspects. Valve however is (as usual) inconsistent as fuck regarding the actual execution of that business model. In TF2 it's a fucking joke because it involves gameplay items and the whole thing's a clusterfuck by now. In CSGO it's very dubious due to the fact the money made from cosmetics isn't used to release free content, instead the game is stagnant (which can also partly be blamed on the actual community of the game, to be fair). It seems to work best in Dota 2 where the entire system is kept solely to cosmetics, and the direct consequence of that immense cash flow is free content on a fairly regular basis. Then there's the problem of Valve's constant reliance on delegation with most of the cosmetics in all of those games being 100% community-made and Valve barely acting as a moderating force (I say barely because they'll sometimes just pull the plug on community-approved skins just because one detail doesn't fit them, but it's seemingly quite rare). Even took away custom sprays which were great.
Again to be fair to Valve, sprays present an immediate balance issue when it comes to competitive matchmaking, and it was in great parts used for essentially slapping NSFW garbage on walls. It should have been kept for custom games where people just generally fuck around but removing the feature in a game that was first and foremost designed to introduce a proper ranking system to CS is kind of sensible. Fuck their entire attempt at monetizing it later down the line though.

Most of the operations content is community-made however if my memory serves me right so that's to be taken into consideration when it comes down to the whole "cosmetic DLC to pay for free content later" formula. Since the release of the game in 2012 they've only introduced a total of two actually new guns, with two more being from older games.

When will mittens be added?
