I really like how they're going about on inspirations and taking from actual culture to drive the background of Far Cry 4.
Also that bit with the little old lady sharpening her Sickle was just adorable.
I can only imagine how fun this must be. Now that just about everything can be put into a game one way or another, I can see this being awesome to do and imagine and plan.

Yes, let's ignore the obvious effort being shown in this documentary, to really capture the Nepalese background for Far Cry 4, because of a previous failure.
That's like Ignoring all the fun from Borderlands 2, because Gearbox had the audacity to make Duke Nukem Forever and Aliens Colonial Marines.

I will be buying the game. I will not be pre ordering it
I do not want to support Ubisofts continuing pre order bonus bullshit. there is literally nothing wrong with my actions in this situation and you need to understand people may still buy the game even if they're against this pre order crap which is legitimately bullshit.

people not pre ordering it en mass would get them to change their tune, it's what we all need to do.
we don't deserve to pay an extra 20-30$ for an hour of gameplay and some weapons and shit. They're the largest AAA studio around, they make the most types and varied games for any singular AAA publisher and they can't get away with this shit so people should stop pre ordering their games.
Play em, buy em, who cares, just stop rewarding them for this shit.
That reminds me of the pre order for Bioshock Infinite.
Man that was good stuff. If you got a more solid one, you got a nice little art book, and a kickass Songbird Statue (Though I wanted the Motorized Patriot more than a Songbird). And with the steam version, the tiers were the shit.
These Tiers were, in order:
- 1: A free copy of Bioshock
- 2: Some nice TF2 Items, more with pre-ordering the Season Pass
- 3: A FUCKING FREE COPY OF XCOM: ENEMY UNKNOWN!
That last one was the best, a full, free copy, of a then still kinda expensive newish Xcom Game.
And with both versions, a pretty cute little puzzle game that gives you useless tat.
Just an example of recent Pre-Orderable game done right.
Achievement unlocked: 50 out of 50 bells rung.
I'll put money on it.
Hope they do keep a lot of this detail in though.

People aren't just sitting there and angrily mumbling while throwing their wallets at ubisoft. They aren't buying the game, and that's a pretty decent way of sending a message.
I doubt the actual game is going to represent any of what they've said it will, Ubisoft is always lying.
But hey, I'd like to remain optimistic that they're going to create a vivid, big world, that is a lot better than Far Cry 3.
Also hopefully they don't fuck the graphics up so much like they did from Far Cry 3 E3 to release.
