Almost a third of UK primary pupils think cheese is made from plants and a quarter think fish fingers come from chicken or pigs, suggests a survey. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-22730613
How.
Wouldn't surprise me if that was true to be honest. Food is being manipulated more then ever these days. But on topic, education seems to fail big time, some people are more stupid then ever, and it's not nice to think that this is our future generation.
I... What? It's literally in the name how can you fuck up education that badly? [editline]3rd June 2013[/editline] Have they never heard of fish somehow?

I wonder how many people chose chicken as a joke
-snip-
Maybe they thought it was a trick question? I mean, if a big news crew came in to ask you what fish fingers were made of, you would probably hesitate and say somthing else, trying to not look like an idiot. Or maybe they are thick as hell, one of the two.
quoted words
Yes thats the joke. Well aren't you the keen eyed one?
five-to-16-year-olds
If you give your average 16 year old the following question on a survey: what are fish fingers made from? fish [] pigs [] chicken [] they won't tick fish.
If you give your average 16 year old the following question on a survey: what are fish fingers made from? fish [] pigs [] chicken [] they won't tick fish.
The one quarter only comes from primary age, 5-11
But cheese is made from plants. Cows eat grass, and produce milk. I hope that ends the debate. [editline]3rd June 2013[/editline]
The one quarter only comes from primary age, 5-11
Then it's a stupid survey. Stick to a smaller age range per sample, god dammit.
How do these idiots not get that they are just primary school kids joking about on an anonymous survey?!
But cheese is made from plants. Cows eat grass, and produce milk. I hope that ends the debate.
meat is also made from plants cows eat grass, and produce meat when slaughtered
meat is also made from plants cows eat grass, and produce meat when slaughtered :downs:
See, I told you.
God that reminds me about how we were told in History that during WW2 when the children were evacuated from the cities they saw cows, chickens, sheep etc and didn't know what they were because they had never seen them in living form.
meat is made of sunrays and water
cheese is sort of made from plants, nowadays we use plant oil and flavouring to make fake cheese.
I'm going to be honest, I remember that one survey of American children and the loudest insults came from the UK. All over the internet, British people had to make sure that everyone knew Americans were retarded. On anything with voice chat, you had to sit through terrible impressions of the American Southern accent and it was horrible. I'm not saying you deserve it, exactly, but I am saying that all of you who did it should feel pretty silly right about now. :l
meat is also made from plants cows eat grass, and produce meat when slaughtered
meat is made from photons cows eat grass, and grass eats sunlight
meat is made from photons cows eat grass, and grass eats sunlight
The sun eats hydrogen and makes sunlight We are all hydrogen oh shit
Huh... Did they never find the fish fingers a bit... fishy?
Maybe the kids know something we don't, hell up until 8 months ago we thought beef was from cows

She was telling me about some woman who said something like this: "How can my son be below the [class] average in maths? We pay to send our son here! Shouldn't they all be above average at maths?" I guess it was hereditary?

I'm getting a craving for some fish sticks now.
I have a feeling a lot of these kids were fucking with the interviewers.
