Hello Facepunch. Whenever I have a dream, I will post it here. Simple right? (Incoming wall of text!) But why post a dream? A dream is unique to everyone, it is mostly a personal story and can be better than books. They can be in great detail if you remember them well. By sharing them on Facepunch, I hope to tell you all a good story. It is also interesting for me to look back on dreams and see how they change. Here's some facts about dreams:
You would be amazed to know that usually children watch nightmares. The usual age group is 3 and it continues up to 8. Blind people also view dreams. Their images are in accordance of the time when they got blind. Good news for those who snore a lot. You cannot dream while snoring. If you are giving up smoking then get ready for some long and intense dreams. Kids up to the age of 3 and 4 never dream about themselves. It is interesting to know that men dream more about their own gender as compare to women. On the other hand, women dream equally about both men and women. The word dream is derived from dreme. Dreme stands for joy and music. People often say that we don't dreams. But, the fact is that everyone dreams. You would be astonished to know that major part of your life is spent in sleeping, i.e. approximately one-third of life. Dreams are also essential for a healthy life. If you don't have adequate dream activity then it signifies lack of protein. It also signifies problem in one's personality. Approximately half content of dream is forgotten, if you are recalling after five minutes of its completion. Approximately ninety percent of dream is forgotten, if you are recalling after ten minutes of its completion.
These last two facts are interesting. I had to think really hard to recall my dream, straight after I woke up! How can I record dreams? Easy. A simple notebook and pen will do. When you wake up, you'll remember the dream the most, so straight away jot down either some notes on it or the whole thing. There's also an App on the iPod for it, but it was ridiculously priced last time I checked! But I can't dream! Help me! Of course you can dream! It's just hard to remember as most of them happen halfway through sleeping. I've done this about twice now and it works for me! Step 1. Have a good long sleep. Around 7-9 hours is best. Step 2. Wake up. Did you have a dream you can remember? Yes? Jot it down! Step 3. If you didn't have a dream, go back to sleep for about half an hour to an hour! Step 4. Wake up and jot that sucker down! In the two cases I've done this I've had very clear and imaginative dreams! It could possibly work with naps too! Onto my dream: This is one I had when I was sick yesterday. I slept in till about 11 woke up and spent about 20minutes writing this baby down! Here goes: Waterworld. (I called it that) (It's not the best story, but it'll do!) The whole world was covered in water and some friends and I found ourselves on a pirate ship, with other pirates and a captain. We sailed over the endless sea until we found another ship. We fired upon it yet most of us decided to jump in the calm sea and grapple over. That didn't work for some of us though, for some strange reason. We just stabbed the ship a bit whilst trying not to drown. But then a small canal boat appeared on the horizon, merrily chugging along. It noticed us, was like " OH SHII--" and tried to sail away. Being a canal boat we caught up with it easily and managed to board it. There was a massive ogre with a rusty dagger standing on the bow(stern?). I drew my sword and we proceeded to fight, yet I somehow only managed to tear a bit of his glove off, which made him RAAGE. He charged towards my un-armed friend but I quickly managed to slit his throat, which is amazing as in my normal dreams I would of somehow slit my own throat! So he falls down like a ton of bricks and we carry on to loot the place. Not gold and treasure, but cereal and drink (Hey, I guess I was hungry!). Yet amidst all this fighting, another pirate ship turned up. Yet for a reason unknown to dreamers, only the captain decided to jump overboard and swim to the tug. He cheated though and pulled out a gun similar to the XM8 and proceeded to shoot through the window. We all hit the deck except our captain, who, cool as a cucumber, drew his tiny pistol and pulled the trigger, avoiding the incoming gunfire. Much like in Men In Black, the tiny pistol let out a huge blast, knocking the captain to the wall. The look of shock on the other captains face was priceless as he fell into the sea! And then I woke up. It sucked really, as that's the best dream I've had in a long while. Oh well, one can dream ;) I am also going to make a tally of the stuff I've done in dreams: Kills - 1 Ships Plundered - 1 Sword fighting PWNAGE - 1 And that's about all. Wow, it looks like it's a fairytale. I never dreamt it to be like that, curse my horrible story telling skills :D TL;DR: I am going to make a dream diary in which I'll post dreams

[editline]05:31PM[/editline] http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=903556&
Yup, I searched and found it was, however, it seemed to have died? And this is kind of like my own personal dream diary, where you can ask questions and I'll do alot of detail about my dreams.
Is this also a place for other people's dreams?
If you want. I can only post like 1 dream a day, so go ahead xD
Awesome, but I have no interesting dreams to post at the moment. :v:
Can you remember any? I have alot of dreams that I've remembered :)
Err.. Sort of irrelevant to the thread, but, I had a dream that the US was being bombed, shit like B-2's, just thousands of bombs everywhere, last night.. Actually, to be honest, I have dreams often about the US (I live in the US, so it's not like I hate it) being bombed. Does this have any subconscious meaning?

I have a recurring dream, where I am getting ready for school/go home for lunch, and I realise that i'm late/have little time to get back, however, I get trapped in sort of this loop, where there's allways something stopping me getting out. For example I'll go to get changed (Why I don't know) and when i'm finished i'll be in casual clothes instead of my uniform, then I'll start panicing, and just try to leave, but there's always something else, sometimes I can't remember what house i'm in, sometimes i can't remember how to get out of the house, sometimes there's someone there saying "nah, it will be fine stop rushing". I get that pretty regularly, about once a week, the shit creeps me out, I'd talk to a profesional about it but he'd probably just tell me I want to sleep with my mother.
Sometimes, I dream about... Cheese...

I had this batshit insane dream once but i forgot it but it was so batshit insane
I had this batshit insane dream once but i forgot it but it was so batshit insane
I'm sure it was. :)
Most of my dreams end with me falling down shit, slipping somewhere and hitting the ground or for some reason not being able to reach the brake with my foot while driving around. I guess I'm some kind of sleep-masochist.
I remember a dream I had once. I was standing on a huge armchair and I started to fall into a huge bowl of soup. Then I woke up.
What a W E T dream
I had a dream where I had vagina and a cock pressed out it
"I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad. The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had" I often dream about dying, not only when I'm asleep. I dream about the things that I have. I dream about ways in which I can improve the lifes of the people around me. The quickest and easiest always seems to be death. The death of myself.
I once had this dream I ate a burger. :iiam:
Blogpunch.
I am more or less interested in having a dream diary, but one of my problems is the fact that I would have to write a short story to write my dream down properly every time with appropriate details.
i dream that i become a woman... alot.
I often have epic dreams where I am in some sort of grand scale battle like Lord of the Rings or Star Wars. I always end up getting killed though. They're fun though.
Does getting killed in dreams hurt for you lot? It hurts for me alot :l
Can we the inferior slaves post our dreams here too?
What? Of course. I'm no higher than you are :l
