Holy fucking shit, that is unspeakably awesome. I can't understand that this is actually happening.

Imagine the implications. You could be annoying Google with "Are we there yet?"

His last sentence is true.

I have only seen problems on roadways with trucks in rural back roads (They're always too narrow, and so they clearly can't be efficient) and large motor ways in largely populated areas. I say cut the driver in cities, and keep the driver in the suburbs and outskirts.

Pretty amazing, but sadly I doubt it's going to actually be used by the public in the near future.

If every car could talk to each other and the road itself, then traffic speeds could go 10x faster and there'd be very little error.

I want this. I NEED this. I'm literally fucking terrified of driving half the time, I nearly I got into an accident today. I hate driving.

The part where he said "(Driving accidents) are almost always due to human errors, not machines, and can therefore be prevented by machines" almost made me reach for some tinfoil for a hat

I wouldn't use this no matter how perfect people say it is. I couldn't handle not being in control of something that could easily end lives

I'd still use it, because if it gets into a crash I don't have to take the responsibility for it, since I didn't technically cause it. The emotional impact of a crash on me would be so much worse than any real physical damages assuming no one is hurt.

There's a point where you have to get past your "gut feeling" and do what's smart.

Please make this come true in the next year :v: I fucking hate drivers of today, the crazy road rage that people get. I, for one, accept our machine overlords.
