My brother the Crossdresser - General

So about a year ago, I was screwing around in my brother's room, and I opened his little chest thing and found a large amount of black makeup. He was dating a girl at the time, so I didn't think much of it(though in retrospect I never saw her wear black makeup), and went on with my life. About a month later, a package arrives for my brother, and I open it, because I like opening boxes. It's a corset. Now I knew my brother and his girl friend were doing things involving chains and ropes and what not(He feels the need to share), but he had stopped dating her a couple days before. I questioned him about it, and he got angry at me for opening his mail(which is fair), and I forgot about the corset because we went out to eat. Skip to about three months ago, I go downstairs at about 11PM to do laundry and I hear my brother's friends sitting in the living room. I go in to see what's up and I don't see my brother, or at least, I don't see what I expect my brother to look like. What I do see is a goth girl with really long black hair, a corset, a dress, and high heel stripper boots. Then I closely examine her face and freak out, as it is actually my brother. After I'm done freaking out, he explains to me that he's dressing like that for the Rocky Horror Picture Show, which as far as I can tell is a night where people cross dress and go see a movie of the same name and throw condoms or some shit, I dunno, Google it. Anyways, I don't quite believe this is the only reason, because the outfit costs in the hundreds of dollars, and he has no job. So after a while, he decides to stop going to Rocky, but he still cross dresses, when I ask him about this, he says he likes to go out shopping while dressed as a woman because it allows him to try on women's clothing in the store without looking weird. So at this point he really doesn't have an excuse to cross dress except to get more things to cross dress in, so I'm rather sure at this point he is gay. I like to think of myself as open-minded, and am in support of gay rights, but when I see my brother in women's clothing, I feel ill. I'm actually ashamed of my brother now, and I'm questioning whether to keep in contact with him when I move out. Does this make me a bad person, or do you think I'm justified in feeling this way? Edit: I also forgot to mention originally that he has named this personality 'Thea', and has long conversations about 'her' with his friends. I once found a Venn diagram comparing him and 'her'. Crossdressing=/=gay Fuck off. He's got every right to crossdress if he likes it. Why not talk to him and see if this is for more than just kicks. He could very well be actually transgender, and to have his brother there for him would help him with horrible feelings he may have if he in fact is. And you may not necessarily be a bad person, as it's something you're unaccustomed to, but you should try to be more tolerant, for your brothers sake.

I don't care about political correctness if my brother was a cross dresser I would die a little bit inside and probably disown him.

Just like it's my right to think it's creepy. And I have talked to him, and every time he's made a different excuse. First it was Rocky, then he told me he liked tricking people, then he said it was just for fun, but none of these seem very likely to me, because the outfit is a substantial portion of his income, and he's spending money on different outfits, which he wouldn't need to trick other people. He's buying different outfits for himself.

And I didn't mean to say you can't find it creepy, but you should at least tolerate his behaviour. But as long as you aren't picking on him for it, or outing him for it, you're pretty much good.
