LEICESTER, England — In one of Britain’s most dramatic modern archaeological finds, researchers here announced on Monday that skeletal remains found under a parking lot in this English Midlands city were those of King Richard III, for centuries the most widely reviled of English monarchs, paving the way for a possible reassessment of his brief but violent reign. It was buried there. The parking lot was built over the site of an old church.

How can people not read the article?
holy shit that page image spooked me
Richard the 3rd was a heavily demonized monarch by the winning faction in the war of the roses, he actually wasn't that bad.
I guess he never got that horse.

There are a lot of old buildings built over in Britain and Europe, things just get demolished over time and new buildings make way.

whoa you read that article, too??
Wow, I just watched an older QI yesterday and they brought up the fact the skeleton was never found. Quite the coincidence.
He wasn't that bad a king, just made some silly mistakes.
Like killing his nephews.
And pissing off the Stanleys.
Under a parking lot, huh?
Shame it was a municipal, I would've loved to see it found under a McDonald's or something.
I prefer richard IV

I heard about this on the radio; interesting that there was where he was laid to rest.

I guess his resting place being paved over for a parking lot served as a fitting punishment for him then.
Imagine going back in time and telling him of his fate.

As the good Lord said: "Love thy neighbor as thyself, UNLESS HE'S TURKISH, IN WHICH CASE KILL THE BASTARD!

Eh... sort of. He was actually a really good king, just a bit of a nob.

Actually, best case scenario:
Found under a Burger King
I do love Richard the Third, but he's been misunderstood quite a bit throughout history. Horrible Histories portrayed him really well in one of their songs.
