During the bands second song ”Monkey Wrench” Dave Grohl accidentally fell off the stage – and broke his leg.
– Hey ladies and gentlemen. I love you but I think I just broke my leg. I really broke my leg, Dave Grohl said before going off stage with the help of doctors.

The rest of the band jumped in to play some covers and for a while it looked like the concert was going to be cancelled.
However after a while Dave Grohl was once again on the scene – carried in on a stretcher. After sitting down on a chair with a doctor fixating his broken leg Dave Grohl continued to sing and play guitar.
– I won’t leave the stage until a doctor says I have to, said Dave Grohl, who also promised to finish the show.
– I may not be able to walk or run but I can still play the guitar and scream.
The dude's too based.
Got to love a guy who will give the fans what they paid for, and more.

He's the best.
Trying to find a video of this on Youtube is fucking painful, what is with this bullshit spam
That is one of the best pictures I've seen all year. :v:
Supposed to see him in October, hope he gets alright.
Reminds me of that guy that kept playiing guitar at a concert even though his hands were bleeding

That's the kind of dedication in rock you don't find much of nowadays.

Dave Grohl fucking rocks. That's amazing.

Probably quite a bit although I imagine it wore off around the time he finished the gig. They might have got him on some pain killers though before he hit the stage again.

Or Michael Jackson still dancing while his hair was on fucking fire.
he was only gone for 2 songs as well, they played a 22 song set list

I saw them do an almost 5 hour set in Little Rock, nothing but pure energy the entire time, maybe a single 5 minute break. I doubt he needed much painkillers till after the set.

this image is so much funnier if you imagine the doctor touching his leg asking "does it hurt when i do this?" and dave is screaming
[editline]13th June 2015[/editline]
for the whole 2 hours
I'd call him a "true rocker" but then again I've never heard any rocker doing something like this, so I'll just say good on you, Dave.
:')
Dave Grohl is such a cool guy. He's definitely one of my favorite musicians personality wise.
I was there, almost front row, it was awesome.
When he came back and was talking he teared up because almost the entire audience sticked around, even when the concert seemed pretty much over.
Also when he sang "Hero", he dedicated the song to the doctor who held his leg in OP's picture for a few songs before they did the cast.

Future tour dates was canceled. :/

It's just two in Europe, not the whole tour. I'm still pumped as ever to see them at Fenway.

All I think think during the first part of the video was "Put your damn phones away."

Ben Weinman (The dillinger escape plan guitarist) is known for getting fucked up during their shows and continue playing without taking a break. (Broken hand, hole in his skull and most recently breaking his finger in 3 places)
I've seen them live and they've got the most insane stage presence I've ever seen.

Or Dmitri Šostakovitš who composed a symphony in starvation during the Nazi siege of Leningrad in 1941.

Hopefully Glastonbury is still happening. They might have to have Muse cover for them or something since they're playing like 30 festivals this summer.
I got to see the Foo Fighters perform at the Big Weekend a few weekends ago, and yeah, Dave really is the kind of guy who would hate himself so much for disappointing his fans. The short set they had on stage still had like, 6 or so songs in it. Something he went out of his way to fit in by cutting his usual chat between songs down to a minimum.
Now I want to see them at a proper gig.
Hope he can learn to walk again
