I've been scouring the internet to find a JLS S-M8 / XM8 spring-powered airsoft rifle that is IN STOCK from a UK seller/website, but I can't find any. I've searched a shedload of sites, so don't suggest I look at a site unless you can see the S-M8 in stock and available in the uk.
Spring powered?
Yes.
Why not just go for an AEG?
Too expensive, my budget is £35.

I would suggest saving $90 (USD) to get this:

Maybe not from that exact site, but the AGM XM8 is auto, and a good beginner gun.
Mmm, I may consider that eventually, but for now go and find me a goddamn xm8 springer.
This is the problem with the mindset of newer airsofters. You're going to buy that crappy springer XM8, then in short time you're probably going to either: Wish you had bought something else or totally forget about the XM8 and try to go buy something else and end up spending more money.

Exactly. Can't say I didn't warm him.

Fine then, find me a good shotgun.

That's if you get that dodgy looking one, if you get the JLS S-M8 you get 300fps with 0.20.
Find me this, find me that. Do your research before you decide on anything. First off, what do you want to do? Do you want to play field games or play backyard games with your buddies?
Field.
You most certainly won't get along with a springer XM8. If you're going to go super cheap cheap:
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_206&products_id=1484
At least it's an AEG that could potentially compete, but that's the ultra bare minimum in terms of a gun. Sorry, but if you want to play field you'll need to be willing to spend a bit more money than 35 euros.
fug that, find me something good and spring-powered.
Unless when you said field you meant just somewhere in the woods or something...still with friends. I think by field he meant out in public games with other random people.
[editline]10:01PM[/editline]
If you meant field as in with random people at a public field, you're out of luck.
If you meant just with friends anywhere [legal], a springer would be fine but I don't know how you define a good springer so I couldn't recommend you a gun. Unless you wanted a tri-shot shotgun that has a fairly limited range (something like 70-80 feet? I don't own it yet but it's been said around here before), there's a few of those that are either A) in stock but shells are not or B) out of stock entirely.

Haha, I'm not that dumb, By field I mean random people.
[editline]06:05AM[/editline]
and by good spring I mean one that has a high velocity and low hop-up.

Look at that cool thread that this question could have been posted in!
Anyways, i'm not entirely sure what you mean by "low hop-up" but you should just consider getting a DE Tri-Shot

Pick yer poison, bro.
Here it goes again.

The problem with this mindset though is nine times out of ten the guy goes ahead and buys the cheapest piece of shit they can find. When it sucks and breaks after a few uses he then assumes every single airsoft is the same and thus avoids it like a plague while constantly pointing out that they're terribly made toys for autistic children based on that one experience.
[editline]03:57AM[/editline]
"I want this, find me it."
"You're going to regret it, it's not a good idea."
"No, find me one."
"Why don't you try this? It's better."
"No, but you can find me a shotgun now."
Also, what does "Low-HopUp" mean? How do you have a low hop-up?
Listen, you're going to want to spend the money eventually. You're going to regret getting a springer, you will not do well at a field, you will do terribly at a field, you won't even be able to compete or function with a springer on a field.
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU

thread is full of trollish behaviour, let's get this straight.
1. I want a gun
2. It needs to fire BBs
3. It needs to fire them fast
4. It needs to be single-shot
5. It needs to shoot where I point
6. It needs to be under £40
I'm not a serious skirmisher, I only want a cheap gun to see if airsoft is for me. The nearest airsoft to me rents guns out for £40 with a £10 deposit, so yeah.

if you aren't getting one for serious skirmishes why are you even asking us in the first place? Isn't it kind of obvious that all we are going to tell you is "those guns are terrible, believe us" (and they are).

well, dare i say it i have to recommend the Double Eagle M85 for your situation,
http://www.airsoftworld.net/airsoft-guns/two-tone-guns-no-vcra-ukara-registration-required/two-tone-budget-range-of-guns/two-tone-double-eagle-g36c-m85-aeg.html
1. Its a weapon (i hope your not a troll because British speaking a gun is a piece of artillery, im a bitch for detail)
2. It fires bb's but youve still got to use the high quality ones otherwise you'll break the plastic gearbox
3.it can fire them fast as it has fully automatic on its fire selector
4.it can do single shot, it has semi automatic on its fire selector
5.if you adjust the iron sights because the red dot you get with it is shite it should fire acurately up to 25 feet.
6. it costs 35 quid...
just keep in mind:
Its got plastic internals so if you treat the weapon badly it WILL break
It has a 30 round magazine but the bottom 2 bb's never feed so in reality its a 28 round mag
Its got a no returns policy, if it doesnt work out of the box your fucked, if it breaks your fucked.
All the attachments with it are absolutely shite because its a cheap weapon.
now if you direct your attention here http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=949646 this is a WELL better weapon for only £50 extra
http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268_318&products_id=4364 i can guarantee the Double Eagle is an awful weapon but it is the only one that will actually last you a reasonable time if you treat it right at that price range.

First off, this forum is extremely helpful, were all quite experienced in airsoft. YOU just need to stop asking to be spoon-fed and do some research for yourself.

1. Easily achievable with your budget
2. Easily achievable with your budget, long term reliability might be an issue with a cheaper gun
3. Probably not achievable with your budget, what do you consider fast? My M14 shoots 20 bb's per second, I consider that fast.
4. Easily achievable with your budget.
5. What ranges are you going to be shooting at?
6. Save up your money. Really. Airsoft is one thing you do not cheap out on. Trust me, after buying cheapo $100 - $200 guns I started buying $400 - $600 guns and now I realize what I've been doing wrong.

1. Good
2. I only plan on going once every 1-2 months
3. I mean velocity, 300fps is a nice number to set as a standard.
4. Good
5. Between 10 and 50 feet
6. Maybe I will, we'll see as I have a plan to go on the 4th of july.
I'll just let you know that 50 feet is not very far. Even in CQB, you can engage people easily from 100+ feet. Go take a tape measure and measure out 50 feet.
You could get that shotgun, it's all you need. The shells are out of stock at the moment though.
Very well. I've had a look at the various shotguns on www.geniestuff.co.uk and the DE M47D2 and the SPAS-12 seem ok for single-bb shotguns.
Both are sold out.
