International rock star Joel Madden will not be be charged after police allegedly discovered a small quantity of cannabis in his Sydney Star casino hotel room. Sources have told Fairfax a cleaner allegedly discovered less than five grams of the drug in Madden's room of the Darling Hotel in the Star casino at about 4.30pm on Sunday night and police were contacted. However they did not arrive until about 10.30pm. Madden, who has been staying at the Darling for a few weeks, was present as police searched the room. Fairfax understands the 34-year-old Good Charlotte frontman was asked to leave the hotel immediately. A rockstar had weed? How surprising.
Lifestyles of the rich and the famous
a rich music star uses illegal and addictive substances? shocking
If I was a famous musician with lots of money no shit I would have some weed man
Lifestyles of the rich and the famous
thought of the anthem and got nostalgic as fuck
Water is wet and fire is hot
a rich music star uses illegal and addictive substances? shocking
Bit strong language there
Oh no, some weed? That's like a $150 fine! How will a rich and famous person afford that?
And this is news why?
Bit strong language there
how is that?
And this is news why?
Joel Madden is currently one of the judges for Australia's "The Voice" show, Channel Nine have been defending him about this and so has Seal (famous singer)
how is that?
'Cause nobody's dependent on weed and it's legal. I'm shocked they only found weed tbh, since he's been there for weeks. It's like finding out some random adult drank a beer or red bull.

who fucking cares
You can't go any lower than weed. It's like saying people are addicted to water.
But that doesn't mean addiction doesn't have negative physical affects and that frequence use doesn't have bad effects either. Using weed, especially in teen years, can reduce overall intelligence, memory and attention span permanently:
It was found that the persistent, dependent use of marijuana before age 18 was associated with lasting harm to a person's intelligence, attention and memory, and were suggestive of neurological harm from cannabis. Quitting cannabis did not appear to reverse the loss. However, individuals who started cannabis use after the age of 18 did not show similar declines.[39]
It's only addictive when you're the kind of person who is baked out of their mind half the day and your body doesn't know anything other than that.

If I had a nickel for every celebrity that had weed, I could buy weed.
And this is news why?
he's on this show called the voice where he is a mentor/role model to young aspiring singers so yeah obviously it's not a big deal but you can see how some people might take it out of proportion

Even then, your source says it's "associated" not causative. I believe a later study also found correlation with the subjects' socioeconomic background; i.e. the observed effects probably weren't merely the result of abusing weed.
